Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse
Perfectly portable-and award-winning-Touch technology
Stylish and eye-grabbing, Arc Touch Mouse is more than a pretty device. It's reliable wireless freedom plus Microsoft touch technology, on the go. Use it just about anywhere, even on a rough wood surface or carpet, thanks to BlueTrack Technology. Plus you can retain wireless control of your computer up to 30 feet away.
Curve it for use, flatten for storage
Arc Touch Mouse's innovative design allows for quick use and storage. Curve it comfortably to get started. Then smoothly glide your finger up or down the touch strip. When you're done, keep the tiny transceiver plugged into your computer's USB port, or attach it magnetically onto the underside of the mouse. Then flatten Arc Touch Mouse to turn it off, and slip it into your pocket or bag as easily as a cell phone.
Precise vertical scrolling by feel, not wheel
The Touch strip on the Arc Touch Mouse responds precisely to the speed of your finger movement, using Haptic feedback (light vibration that signals scrolling speed) to scan through documents or web pages as quickly-or as cautiously-as needed, entirely by feel.
Flexible Design - Curve for comfort, flatten to pack. A perfect fit for your hand and your mobile lifestyle.
Power On and Off - Curve to turn on. Flatten to turn off. No button to switch. A green light flashes to show the battery is working, and then turns off to save battery life.
Touch to Scroll - Click. Tap. Flick. Control. Quickly brush up or down with your finger to flick into hyperfast vertical scrolling for smooth, intuitive navigation. Scroll slowly with a gentle swipe or quickly with a flick of the finger, then tap to stop.
BlueTrack Technology - Take advantage of BlueTrack Technology, which combines the power of optical with the precision of laser for remarkable tracking on virtually any surface.
Plug-and-go Nano Transceiver - Leave the Nano Transceiver (USB) plugged in when you're on the go, or stow it magnetically in the mouse.

Top customer reviews
So to start this review i would like to say that in my personal opinion, the mouse is cool, stylish and portable on almost every possible level. This mouse has two positions as shown on the video provided on Amazon, one where it is straight and one where it is bended. When straight the mouse is basically "off" and therefore not using up battery. When it is bended, the mouse goes on and the blue light from Microsoft's blue laser technology goes on.
At the bottom of the mouse there is a magnet right below the battery cover. This magnet is used to hold your receiver. Now this for me is not a very good idea as I'm always worried that the USB receiver will detach itself and get lost if the mouse is not in my bag. However, i must say that it has never happened so far. While talking about the USB receiver, i also want to add that it does not fit into my ASUS N61J series laptop far enough to the point i can feel free to "plug and forget". It sticks out just enough to make me worry about the black plastic part breaking off. If your laptop bag does not hold your laptop tightly on the sides like mine then probably you won't have to worry about the USB receiver breaking while plugged to your laptop.
On to the mouse itself now. Like i said before, it is very stylish. But how does it do in terms of comfort and performance? I would say that comfort is not an issue. i find the fact that the mouse glides quite well on most surfaces and is a good fit for average sized hands. Tracking is good and majority of surfaces won't be a problem to use your mouse on. For those who want to use it on a mattress forget it, it's not going to work. Now for the clicking, I saw another reviewer saying that the click buttons are too stiff. This is indeed quite true, when i got the mouse i hated the click buttons. They are quite stiff and can be irritating at some points. you won't have the usual "CLICK" sound and feeling of a normal computer mouse. This can actually be a deal-breaker for gamers like me. The scroll touch feature however is extremely nice and versatile. You can do quite a bit with it but explaining those functions in my review will just make it too long so I'll stop at saying that scrolling will be a charm with this mouse. Also to replace the scrolling clicks as this mouse is touch scroll, the mouse will sort of vibrate and make a clicking sound which is also pretty cool.
You could say that this mouse actually have five buttons. Three usual Click buttons, left, middle and right as well as a page up and page down buttons when tapping on the top of the touch scroll and the bottom of it for page down. Getting used to it takes a week or so when you work on documents and such so this mouse actually becomes a great tool when working with MS Office or other!
So to sum up:
- Versatile tapping for the scroll "pad"
- Great tracking on different surfaces
- Great scrolling technology
- Very portable
- LED light on top of the mouse to let you know if battery is running low or not.
- Sturdy, it doesn't feel like the mouse would ever break when bending and unbending it.
- Stiff clicks
- Bit too long receiver although already quite small.
- No receiver holding space on the mouse except for the magnet at the bottom.
So all together, I am happy with my purchase and will definitely purchase the upgrade of it as I'm sure they will fix the clicking stiffness, to which I actually got used to two weeks down the road. The Stiffness is slowly disappearing but is obviously not fast enough!
I know this review was long but at least is a complete description of the features available and experience I had with it.
Besides the build quality, the great things about this mouse are 1) the ability to fold it flat, which 2) shuts the mouse off, and 3) the magnetism of the back which holds the dongle. This makes the mouse awesome to put in a tight bag, or in a pocket without lots of bulk and saves on batteries.
While this doesn't really offer any super fancy mouse features, like side buttons, it does have the mouse wheel buttons which work by haptic feedback. I actually liked this mouse so much I purchased a replacement for it, and when I got a computer that used Bluetooth, I purchased the Bluetooth version for it too.
It's not a gaming mouse, but if you're a road warrior and need to conserve space, this is an awesome mouse.
Page-up/Page-down is really hard to get right...
Takes some getting used to for mid-click...
On the up-side, it regulates air under your palm so you don't get sweaty like with some bulky mouses out there
Oh, one awesome thing about it is its haptic feedback of mouse-wheel rotation...
Update: 2 months in, it doesn't register some left-clicks.
But I love the fact that you can flatten it to carry it around. It takes up so little space, and doing so also turns off the mouse and saves battery. So much simpler and more convenient than having to flip a switch on the bottom of the mouse like my old one.
I like the vibrations when using the scroll wheel to simulate a physical wheel. Although I feel like that uses up battery life. But it lasts so long, I can't even tell it it does. I've replaced the batteries three times in the last 4 years. The only issue I've found (and this might be just me) is the middle "button" that initiates the all-directional scrolling. The mouse doesn't have any buttons. Instead, you tap the top of the scroll bar to page up, and tap the bottom to scroll down. Tapping the middle is the same as clicking the scroll wheel on a normal mouse. But whenever I tap the middle, it doesn't register most of the time. But again, that could just be me not tapping the correct spot. The page up and down feature is very easy and works every time. It's just the middle part.
Also, the left inland right click buttons are designed so you have to click towards the very edge (front end of the mouse). If you try to press down towards the top (the highest point when the mouse is bent), it won't work. A lot of people who used my mouse thought you could just click anywhere and it would work. Every time I have to tell them to move their hand up and click further up on mouse. But once you get used to putting your hand in that position, it's extremely easy.
Overall, this is an excellent mouse. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Best mouse I've ever had.
