Here's the thing, for a $160 pricetag I personally would appreciate the durability that was promised on its announcement.
Again, love this thing, before it falls apart and dies.
NOTE: the back paddles CANNOT be rebound to any function not already present on the controller as of this review without serious workaround and some technical know-how beyond my abilities. It can be rebound to things like abxy or D-pad, but not keyboard or mouse controls.
I use this on PC
I really enjoy the feel of this controller. Using it feels natural. The controller is comfortable.
I bought some customization kits with this to make it more personal. The back grips pop off nicely, but to get the front plate off the put a screw under and information sticker in the battery pack. (Just like a steam controller. Watch a video or find an article on how to disassemble it.) Other than that, customizing its looks and function is very easy. On PC, I recommend using xbox acessories (pretty much anecessity for firmware updates) and this works well for steam games (when you turn on xbox controller capatibility). I recommend getting controller companion on steam for a few dollars because it lets you use the controller with custom keyboard/mouse functions while using your computer (not in-game).
Hopefully, some of this garbled information was helpful.
Overall, I love the controller so far. I got a battery pack for it. I have a chatpad on the way (microsoft doesn't seem to make them anymore, but I found an official one after some digging on newegg). I'm really excited to use it more for various things.

However... I got stick drift very early on. This is a huge problem for me as I mainly play Rainbow 6 Siege, so when I'm pre-aiming doors, etc. my player is continually moving when I don't want him to be, leading to failure in accuracy, etc. I sorta got over that and now, my left analog stick barely works! The base of the analog stick has dropped down more into my controller, making it not very reactive and practically impossible to sprint! I have never dropped, thrown, sat on my controller or anything along them lines, but it still broke.
This controller is absolutely brilliant when it works, but that's the main issue... after a few months it doesn't work properly anymore. Gutted mine has broke already after paying such a high price for it and seeing how good it was at first.
Also if it's out of warranty there is no repair service in place for them so I'm stuck with broken £120 controller.
Will just buy a 3rd party scuff next time, also two of my friends have had the exact same issue, bumpers break really easily.
