First off WONDAFAL is spelled correctly. It is a playful way of saying wonderful. Pros: It is not the white one it is the black one but it works perfectly. It does NOT feel cheap, very easy to install driver. controllers connect with ease once driver is installed, I do not know if the new 360 Slim controllers will work on it. supports up to 4 controllers (same as xbox 360) Has a very long cord and get 30 to 40 feet of range if the controller has full battery Cons: What cons? There is absolutely nothing bad about this product. I must also give credit to 5STARGAMING because this is where this came from. The shipping time said that it would arrive sometime between April 12 and april 29, I got it today April 10, 2013. VERY NICE RPODUCT AND WORKS PERFECTLY If you look closely at the end of my video review it shows me using my controllers analog stick to control the mouse of my computer. No I was not using the mouse because I had my hand full with the controller and the camera. It is very small but very versatile you can see how small it is in comparison with the size of my finger. I also show you in the video what it looks like in Windows XP Device Manager but I do not show how to install driver because I have already installed the driver. I will make a youtube video on my account and link it to this review when I do that. You have to hold down the button on the reciever to make it sync. You dont just press you need to hold it down for a srcond or two. I have has in plugged in and turned on for about two hours now and it isn't even warm, so it does not get very warm. I hope this review was helpful. **EDIT** **January 5, 2013** I have had this unit for almost a year now (Come April) I recently got a new Windows 8 Laptop. When I plug this into my computer the Windows 8 Operating System was able to recognize it right away and install the appropriate drivers from either the computer itself or Windows Update. Still give it 5/5 stars. I am still very satisfied with this product.

I wanted to use my 360 controller to play Games on my Steam account on my Laptop. I have a 17 inch Asus G74 ROG. As soon as I got the product, I inserted the CD it came with to install all the software. You can find all the downloads you need without the CD online, but the CD makes it easy for complete noobs. Anyway, I easily installed everything with the CD and then plugged in the receiver to my laptop via USB connection. I then synced my 360 controller by clicking the button on the receiver and then clicking on the sync button on the controller (the sync button isn't the same as the big xbox button on the center of the controller). After that, assuming you are familiar with how 360 controllers work, you should be able to have everything working after that easily. If you happen to be "new" to doing things like this, it doesn't matter because the receiver comes with a mini instruction manual.

*note: you don't have to keep syncing the controller after the first time you do it. After the first time, you just have to press the big xbox button on the center of the controller to connect.

I've been using this receiver for a while now, and it still works like new. I have also connected multiple controllers in order to play co-op with friends, so that's great. You can connect up to 4 controllers, so just like on a normal xbox 360.

This product works, is easy to use, and durable. The only problems I assume people will encounter is maybe if you have a different Operating System (OS) besides windows 7. Apparently people had issues with the receiver on Vista and XP, but seriously, if you are still using Vista by now, just kill yourself, or catch up to the rest of mankind. There are ways to make the receiver work on Vista and such, but it takes longer. You can find instructions for that either somewhere among these reviews, or anywhere on Google.

I love this receiver. Now I can play steam games with a controller with no problem.

    Worked perfectly! Lasted for years
  • Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2013
First - let me point out that I'm a geek. I love playing with tech, so when a bug pops up I'm perfectly fine with messing around in obscure menus until I can get it working correctly.

That being said - let me tackle the one con I have first:

***Windows does NOT auto-detect the driver for this receiver. I ordered 3 of them, one for me, one for my wife, and one for my friend. I had to go through the same process in the device manager every time on every PC. It wasn't a fluke, it just doesn't work out of the box.

You need to install the drivers from microsoft for the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Receiver (pretty sure that's right), then go to the device manager on your computer (after you've plugged in the receiver) and find the unknown device. Update the driver manually, select "choose from a list of drivers on my computer," then find the driver on the list.

And you have to do this every time you unplug the receiver and plug it back in.

    That's a pain.

    NOW FOR THE PRO -

It works like a charm once it's up and running. If you don't plan on moving it around a lot and you leave it plugged in - it works like a dream.

I've played Borderlands 2, Skyrim, Portal and various emulators with this receiver and an Xbox 360 controller and I've yet to have one issue out of it since I got it all set up. If you're a techie and have a little patience, you'll get along just fine with this receiver.

If you're not technically inclined, I would recommend looking up a step-by-step setup.

Bottom line - it was worth the hassle for me. I would definitely recommend this product for any gamer tired of using the keyboard.
