Fist of the Vampire was good. The acting was passable, but that's all. The fighting was too mechanic and robotic. The story was good. The special effects was done on the cheap. While this movie probably could not have sold alone, it is good on this four-for-one. This movie is worth watching again. The actors were well cast. The main character could have acted a bit better, but his fighting skills king of made up for his lack of Olivier skills. The lighting was not good at all. This movie like the others would have been much better had the producers aquired more capital. Story- B, Acting C+, Action A-
The Vampire Conspiracy was a well written mystery. The main negatives was the head vampire , who inspired a cartoonish feel and his minions, who looked like Scrappy Doo could whip them all half asleep. If you are going to film an entire movie in one house like this, then one should have more variety to each room, otherwise it looks like one is running around and entering the same room. The acting was good. Make-up and special effects were terrible. The stroy was good . The actors well cast, even though the irritating lawyer irritated too much. All the running around kind of got on my nerves, but the story did not. Well worth watching. The unraveling mystery keeps one watching. The vampires are bit players , who actually could have been left out of this movie and it would have been better.
You probably saw this at collection at your local Mart for 5 bucks. These films are so terrible, they make me start to appreciate the blockbuster garbage Hollywood has put out. I don't recommend this collection at all. Echo Home Bridge Entertainment puts out some stinkers but this collection takes the cake.
