LAST OF THE LIVING
After a deadly virus has turned humankind into flesh-eating zombies, slackers Morgan, Ash, and Johnny spend their days lounging in their skivvies, drifting from one vacant house to another. When the three stumble upon a hot girl who may have a cure for the outbreak, the three decide it's finally time to step up to the plate and save the world--and the girl.

GRAVE MISTAKE
Someone has been dumping toxic waste in the local cemetery, and the townsfolk are about to discover it was a Grave Mistake! When a mutant breed of flesh-eating zombies rises from the graveyard and descends on the nearby village, a small group of survivors must battle their way through the undead to safety.

AWAKEN THE DEAD
An assassin's daughter and a down-and-out priest are trapped in a house surrounded by the undead. They battle the monsters outside--and each other--as their pasts bind them together in a web of conspiracy and death. Their only hope for survival lies in facing their darkest secrets, and in a world ruled by betrayal, the real danger may not be outside.

I AM OMEGA
As the survivor of a deadly plague that swept the planet and left millions dead, Renchard lives in isolation, constantly on watch for the infected zombies that hunt him. When another survivor--immune and the key to creating an antidote--contacts Renchard for help evacuating from a dangerous zone in the city center, the future of the human race rests on a single mission!

Movie 1. 'Grave Mistake' -

I got this as part of the midnight horror collection set, that i bought for 5.00, and it has 4 movies so i was not that mad when it sucked. I watched it with family and we laughed a a few scenes, and there was also a few cool FX/kills but overall it sucked! The picture was blurry, the acting was terrible, and the zombies sucked. I would have given this move 2 stars but i see some people gave it 5 so to balance it out ill give it one. 95 min. , color, Widescreen(so big its almost full screen) , not rated- Violence/Profanity, Pretty bad quality/ Independent Film . Overall 1- 2 Stars /5 ,this is bad but Believe me there are worse!!

Movie 2. 'Last of The Living'-

Pretty good Movie! First off, this is a ZOMEDY not a serious movie. There are some good kills and effects, and some funny lines. The story is entertaining and keeps your attention. This is easily the BEST FILM IN THIS SET. This is a Post-Apocalyptic Zombie movie, where the outbreak has already taken over and it is not just starting to spread, which is my favorite type of zombie movie because there is no time wasted on set-up and there are millions of monsters to kill! Overall 4.5 out of 5 stars. 87 min. / color/ widescreen (again nearly full screen) / Not rated / Great quality picture /Gorilla Pictures
P.S. "The Frank Woo" = Best post-mordem band ever LOL.

Movie 3. 'Awaken the Dead' - Low quality, low budget, boring and bad acting. Not even worth watching. 1/5 stars .

Movie 4. 'I am Omega' -

One of "Asylum Entertainment's " Knock-offs, a semi-spoof of Will Smith's "I Am Legend" (A re-make of Charton Heston's "The Omega Man"), [thats how they got the name for this movie] But instead of vampires there are zombie-Like creatures.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this DVD. I'm a zombie fan and it does my heart good to see filmmakers try to expand the genre. The four movies in this collection are great examples of this. Each is different (both in ideas and budget) but all are fun. Like most indy horror flicks the majority of the budget went to the special effects. This usually pays off, as I tend to see stuff that can't be shown in the average crappy PG-13 horror. They push the boundaries of taste (i'e The Evil Dead) and it's usually fun to watch. Plus, you never know how movies like this will end--and that's the case here. All in all I think this was well worth the low price.

I was looking for a "Friday Night Horror" DVD set and bought this. It is extremely cheezie. I don't recommend this to anyone unless you're looking for some of that old nostalgia of the "Friday Night Horror" shows we grew up with back in the day. Most people will find these to be unwatchable. I gave them two stars because it was what I was looking for so no one star rating, but at the same time I didn't want to mislead others with a higher rating indicating a higher production value of these four pictures.

All that said I am glad I bought this set for those Friday Nights.

A Kid's Review on October 26, 2010
The Midnight Horror Collection is Echo Bridge's new budget line of licensed independent films. Each set features four films on one double-sided disc. Flesh Eating Zombies Series is one of the better sets. These aren't George A. Romero classics but decent low-budget independent flicks worth a look for anyone who love the Zombie/Horror genres.

Last of the Living and Asylum's take on Richard Matheson classic novel I Am Legend, I Am Omega (made to cash in on the big screen adaptation starring Will Smith) are definitely the highlights of the set.

Some of the movies in this collection are OK, but the fact that it contains Last of the Living makes it worth every penny. My family has seen hundreds of zombie movies, and LOTL is one of our all-time favorites. It is fantastic!!! We loved, loved, loved it. It's scary, funny, and then gets REALLY scary!

The movies are not the best on the market, but hey for b-list movies they are OK. They will work as a great sit down for a zombie night. I don't recommend them to people just getting into the zombie genre as they are just not a great quality zombie movie. All around i do sit and watch them from time to time.

These movies are too low budget for me, don't get me wrong I like low budget cheesy horror films, but these movies with the expection of "I am Omega" look like they were made for a high school film class.I see better quality on the sci-fi channel on sat. nites. To me the only one worth watching is "I am Omega" which a variation of the"I am legend/omega man/last man on earth"/ movies based on Richard Matherson's book.

I bought the Flesh Eating Zombie series, which was wrapped up with Midnight Horror Collection: Killer Curses, for only five dollars at my local Walmart. I was only interested in Last of the Living Dead which is a horror comedy from New Zealand. I've seen I Am Omega before, which is a ripoff of I Am A Legend starring Will Smith. Considering I didn't pay much for the movies I'm satisfied with my purchase, but the movies are low-budget with horrible acting.
