Disappointing. There were only 4 songs on it. The original Midnight in Moscow Album came out in '61 - '62, and had about 18 songs on it. Price was too high for 4 UNoriginal songs.

This is a "repop" of the original issue 45. The music is the original by Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen. This 1962 hit "Midnight in Moscow" was my first exposure and ultimately, first love in Russian music ("Padmoskovie Vetchera"). Funny, This one is Dixieland performed by a British jazz band. It started a 6 year old boy's love for Russian songs. At 50 something, I have a fair collection of Russian music and it all started with this one.

The B-side of the old 45 is American Patrol but it didn't make this CD. The title song sounds great but I feel a bit ripped off. The CD has a total of four songs all less then three minutes.

This was a dishonest rip-off: it only had 4 bands and 12 minutes of music on it.

This is an instant mood elevator. A smashing, original and utterly delightful album which captures the joyful quality of New Orleans jazz even though it's not from New Orleans. Put this music on and dance! It's rich, endlessly varied, fresh and even a little sweet-- and packed with glorious energy. Can't recommend it enough. When you're listening to this, you're on Bourbon Street no matter where you are. This is one you'll want to share with others -- a dynamite gift for just about anybody.
