And I am also really bored with the length of his books. I am not a short story kind of girl, but most everything he puts out
anymore is chopped to pieces, caring over to what he can make his next short story out of. This book I am reviewing now spent chapter after chapter sitting us up for his next book, and had nothing what so ever to do with the story we were reading. In the end, when we finally got to the "meat" of the story, it was very short lived, I was totally disappointed, in what "could have been" a good story.
I no longer care for his style of writing and this was most likely the last of his work I will read. It's a shame to, as I really
liked Samantha Moon, but not enough to put up with the marketing ...
If you’d asked ex FBI agent Samantha Moon that question not so many years ago, she’d have laughed in your face. But that was before she was attacked by a monster one night while out jogging and transformed into a vampire.
Now, Samantha Moon’s unlife is spent juggling the responsibilities of being a mother – and raining her children as normally as possible – with the outlandish cases she seems to attract as a P.I., which are anything but normal.
The case in question?
Charlie Reed, and electrical engineer and aspiring author, is seeing ghosts. But how can that be? Samantha Moon is soon on the case and what she discovers stretches the boundaries of her already expanded world.
Along the way, she gets to chat with God – attracts the attention of the devil – and oh yes, she’s tasked to rescue a fairytale princess.
All in a day’s work then...
Typical J.R. Rain: Great story, great fun, and total escapism.
If you only ever dare to try out one vampire series, Samantha Moon is guaranteed to please.
Many new, fresh ideas that makes this book an epic page turner. Samantha, Allison, Talos, and the others are taking a ride to a parallel universe so to speak.
I cannot wait until #14 is out. This book was so good, I will easily read it again and again. Trying to figure out what J.R. Rain might have up his sleeve. Bravo Mr. Rain, bravo!!
