Nice color fast blue bottles at a good price. The glass is a pretty deep cobalt blue all the way through (not cheap dye coated clear glass that fades and peels off). We use them outdoors year-round make blue bottle trees, and they look great. Lasts for years on an iron "tree branch" in hot sun, freezing temps, rain, sleep, and snow without cracking, crazing, peeling, eaking and keep thay shiny finish (haven't had to replace one yet). They'really really tough, never had a bottle break during shipping or while handling them. Hey it's a bottle man, and works like it should.

In a word: FANTASTIC. Heavy, durable glass in a beautiful cobalt blue. I made elderberry mead and bottled it's lavender lusciousness in these puppies, and I couldn't be happier. If you're going to brew something wicked enough to warrant a smallish bottle, use these. You won't be sorry. If you're brewing something less potent, buy a larger variety from Midwest- they have an awesome selection and they have really fair prices. Honestly, I'm not a spokesperson for them.

I intend on buying a clear variety for the orange and clove recipe I'm concocting next weekend!

Okay, so I can't attest to how well these bottles hold wine or take a core, but they look great. We used these bottles as table numbers for our wedding and they worked out perfectly. We printed up the numbers and stuck them on with spray glue to get a unique look. After the wedding we had them melted down in a kiln to make cheese plates for family members.
