Midwinter Magic & Mayhem: Fantasy short stories for the darkest of nights Kindle Edition
Midwinter fantasy from award-winning fantasy authors
Witches, demons, spirits and ghosts haunt these pages, tricking, trapping and seducing unwary mortals. Humans, meanwhile, are wielding magic and the spirits for their own ends, with no guarantee of good intentions or great success. Along the way, God and Lucifer wash their hands of us all.
Real-world and epic fantasy rub shoulders with fantasy romance and horror in this new collection of short stories by much-loved authors. Ration yourself to one a night to colour your dreams or binge through them all in search of your next favourite series.
Why so cheap? What's the catch?
Don't you worry about that. Just put out your hand and let us take you into the chill of a winter night. What could possibly go wrong?

About the authors
Ash has always loved a good story. Her childhood bookshelves overflowed, and she refused to take notes in her copies of classroom novels because that felt like sacrilege. She wrote her first novel the summer after her freshman year of college and never looked back. (Granted, that novel was an unpublishable 270,000-word behemoth, but everyone has to start somewhere, right?)
After obtaining degrees in English and creative writing and taking a stab at magazine work, Ash decided to put her skillset to different use and went to law school. She then moved home to Alabama, where she works as an attorney. These days, Ash can be found outside of Montgomery with her inordinately fluffy Siberian husky, who loves long walks, car rides, and whatever Ash happens to be eating.
Elizabeth Menozzi is an award-winning writer of science fiction and fantasy with romance. A former Midwestern girl, she currently resides on Orcas Island with her husband. In her spare time she is a competitive swimmer, trail runner, and devourer of books.
Find out more on her website (http://emenozzi.com/).
T. M. Kohl’s passion is writing fantastic stories with unique worlds, cultures, and languages. Every day, her worlds grow a little bigger as she learns and gets inspired. Her current works include the epic portal fantasy/isekai series, The Warriors of Bhrea. When not writing, she enjoys hiking, playing the piano, and cuddling her cat Loki. Visit her website at www.tmkohl.com.
Anna Tizard writes wildly imagined fantasies spiked with unexpected, metaphysical themes.
Guided by the beams and shadows of the human psyche and with a touch of the surreal, sometimes it’s dreampunk, other times it’s magical realism.
Inspired by the surrealist word game of Exquisite Corpse, which she plays on her podcast, Brainstoryum, each unique story is based on random word combinations for a bizarre and enlightening journey into the imagination.
Play the game, hear your words turn into stories. Subscribe at annatizard.com, and be privy to secret tales. Who knows? You may even inspire the next one in The Book of Exquisite Corpse!
Joan Wendland is a Renaissance woman. Engineer, game designer, author, juggler, and sometimes stand up comic. She can do almost anything but sew or draw. She lives in northern Virginia but is still a Jersey girl at heart. She is married to a fellow engineer and has one cat - a real one.

Each author has their own way of storytelling and there wasn't one I didn't enjoy; whether I was smiling at a cute moment or scowling at characters who hurt the main leads. Some stories had open-endings which left me flipping to the next page hoping to discover more, then leaving my imagination spinning up my own hopeful, happy conclusions.
All in all, this was great collection and I'm so glad I got it. Finding new authors to read is always a joy. You won't regret selecting this as your next binge-reading book.
