I purchased a kit guitar from here no less, and the neck was pretty awful, it was twisted and the frets were uneven, needless to say I needed a replacement. So, instead of arguing with the company that sold the kits and dealing with return shipping and other nonsense, I bought this. Best decision I've made pertaining to this guitar, these necks are top notch, better than the necks on all the pbass' I have played in Guitar Center by far. it fit nice and snug in my pocket (on the body, of course) and though it needed to be drilled, this was an easy task especially with how tight it fit.

I simply tapped it in to the guitar body with my palm then screwed the screws in until they left marks on the back of the neck and drilled it on my drill press. though I easily could have done it with a hand drill, the press is way simpler. Went to the hardware store and picked up some new screws (the ones in the kit sucked.) and did it up. simple. I would however recommend putting the machines in before you put the neck on, since its easier to move around.

Great tone! Awesome action from the first fret all the way up to the highest. The truss rod works fantastic and barely needed to be engaged at all. The frets are perfect, and I mean perfect. The shape of the neck and the quality of the wood are outstanding. The only minor thing is the frets are still sharp on the ends and need to be filed, but that's it! No biggie.

I bought this for my son-in-law to repair his bass guitar. He loves it and it worked just as he had hoped, and was easy to install.
