I am disappointed in this product. It has so many 5 start reviews, but the quality is poor. The directions say to start by filling a flimsy plastic tray with the pieces. Well, a 3 year old’s fingers (or an adult’s) can’t get the pieces out without a lot of effort, and the tray cracked the first time it was used. It is not worth it to use the tray. The cards stick together and the pieces don’t go easily back into the box, which is also flimsy. I plan to toss the box and the plastic tray and just keep the cards and the hard plastic shapes.
The puzzles are easy to start. My almost 3 year old was bored and skipped to #23 of 30. So not many cards to do that have real pictures; the others are basic shapes.
The pieces also slide on the slick cards and that is frustrating to young users The magnets might be better but could be harder to remove and rearrange.
Note that the ‘best toy’ award is really old. There are better toy options out now.
