About the Author
Toni Kief never planned to write a book, until she was sixty. Born in the Midwest, lived in Florida, she presently calls the great Northwest home. She continues to resist writing an autobiography because of her odd incarnations and the tendency to catch a bus and leave town. Much of her creative energy goes into women of certain age. Toni calls her work OA, old adult, as she focuses on the ability to grab life full force and face unidentified dreams. Working with the Writers Cooperative of the Pacific Northwest, she continues to write, market and embroider stories.

Mildred in Disguise is a quick, well-written, fun read. Mildred is an inspiration for people to abandon their rocking chairs and use their talents to take on the world. It leaves you waiting to hear what her next adventure will be.
I fell in love with Mildred, and actually saw some of myself in her. This is the mark of a good author. When a character is so well developed that you begin to identify with them, the author has done their job.
I usually can figure out a detective story by mid-book easily. This one kept me wondering to the end. The added benefit is that, Mildred is so engaging, that I found myself laughing out loud at times.
I'm so glad that I read this book! Time spent well indeed!
