About the Author

Scott Allan Meehan was born on October 19, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland. His father, Al, was a Baltimore County police officer until he decided to become a missionary jungle pilot where the family eventually settled in the Amazon basin of South America. In 1980, Meehan enlisted into the U.S. Army and served seven years, including a tour in Berlin when the wall stood as the Cold War icon. After two and a half years of ROTC training and a BA degree, Meehan returned to the Army as a commissioned officer in Military Intelligence. He retired in 2005 after four tours to the Middle East, which included a Bronze Star medal for his role in Iraq. Meehan’s writing style consists of prose; the lives of his characters, rich and layered, based on his wide, multi-cultural experiences as depicted in his memoirs, Stone in a Sling (2011). Millennial Girl (2016) is the third book in the Army Brat series, which include, Love in the House of War (2014) and The Hawkins: Army of One (2015).
