Jim Pointguard has an amazing ability to bring this story to life. As I have been reading and the story unfolds, it becomes like watching a movie. Pointguard brings such life to the students; it is like being in the classroom with them.
From the get go, you know he has his hands full with the group who doesn't meet the standards. If that wasn't enough of a challenge, enter the hard-
nose administrator. Wow...
Okay, that's all you get for now...I am going back to read more. In the meantime, get your hands on this must read. I can already tell you, you won't be disappointed.
This book is getting harder and harder to put down! As tensions build between Coach P and some of his students, the inevitable explosion comes. Between the loud mouth Kee-kee and the sleeping Earvin, even the best reach a breaking point. But, we are talking about someone who is clearly to stubborn to give up, so enter the brilliant teaching of another well known author. Want to know who? Well, you'll have to read and find out. :)
So, now we move on to the plan. Who would have thought...lemonade...
By the way, this book tells one of my favorite stories about belief. The elephant story is something I hope you will always remember.
This is a great book and should be read in school by the students as well as their parents at the same time... this is a good intro to business book with a lot of good information.. It's entertaining and without knowing it you learn where and how to succeed. This book hits a cadence and it flows well. This is a basic and simple formula on how to succeed... It works. It's been tested. And even "At risk" students proved it works. It's not hard to succeed. It's just learning what and where to look for business lessons. I find humor at seeing how wrong the people can be... Mark Twain, "There is nothing more uncommon than common sense." I laugh at all the epiphanies in this book including those people who say it can't be done... Guess what, "It can be done" and this book will not only entertain but will spell out how to succeed... The real game is: Business. It's better in life being well off and this will not only show you the way but makes it fun.
