Adam, Cameron and Brandon are brothers who were adopted as young kinds by Sally Duke and given a home full of love. All of them have not forgotten their roots and their troubled childhood. But they vowed to be the best they could: in business, as a family and make their mom Sally proud. They have also vowed to stay single and avoid their mom's matchmaking at all cost, forever love was not for them. Nothing would make Sally happier than to see her three boys happily married and having kids for her to spoil rotten. All her attempts have been unsuccessful so far, especially with Adam, who was the oldest.

Adam and his brothers had built a big and succesful development company. When his secretary quit, Trish was automatically transferred to the position. Adam was impressed with Trish, she was hard working, knowledgeable, smart and beautiful. He couldn't believe she could be a part of his mom's matchmaking scheme, when he overheard Trish talking to a friend and assumed she was talking about him. He decided to beat his mom at her game and to seduce and expose Trish.

Trish had her own reasons to want to work for Duke Developments, she wanted to find negative evidence to destroy Adam, the same way his company had destroyed her grandmother's life and her friends, by tearing down their homes and building something else. The more time she spent with Adam, the more she liked him. She admired him and couldn't reconcile the man she knew with the person who destroyed so many lives. She falls in love with him, he was a good man.

They both become involved for the wrong reasons and when the truth comes out, they are both stunned and hurt by each other's betrayal. Story was entertaining, romantic, cute, and fun. Secondary characters were great and added to the story. Banter among brothers was entertaining. I cannot wait to read about the brothers' lives!

I couldn't wait to read The Millionaire Meets His Match by Kate Carlisle, which was Book 1 in Kate's Duke Brother series. The series I just know is going to be fabulous because I read Book 2 (Sweet Surrender, Baby Surprise) first, and adored it!

Brandon Duke said to his brother Adam, "just don't be surprised when you find yourself on a honeymoon with some woman who was planted right under your nose by our diabolically clever mother." And yes, their mom Sally Duke was not only a matchmaker she was an incredible mother to her adopted sons.

Adam was at the top of Sally's list to marry off and he wouldn't put it past her dear friend Marjorie, the HR Director to have this so called woman right under Adam's nose. If Trish was a plant and a gold digger, then Adam was on top of the situation and he would out maneuver his mother and her best friend!
And then Adam remembered a conversation he overheard when Trish said, "he won't even know what hit him" not realizing they were speaking about something else entirely. But what he didn't know was the conversation was between Trish and her best friend. He had asked Trish to join him on a business trip to Fantasy Mountain, Duke Enterprise's new resort. He wanted to check out an error that was made in the construction of the new parking garage because it wasn't up to code or user friendly for the ADA traveler. The very same facility that had displaced Trish, her grandmother and other family friends because Duke Enterprises had purchased the entire block before they could bid on it themselves because they wanted it for Fantasy Mountain's parking garage.

Trish was on a mission to find out something negative she could use against Adam and bring him down.

Adam Duke, along with his brothers Cameron and Brandon, own Duke Development International. Trish James is Adam's new, temporary assistant, but she has a hidden agenda. Duke Development International destroyed Trish's life and the lives of her friends and family when they ruthlessly tore down their homes to build a parking garage. Now that Trish is in position to tear down Adam's company, though, she's having second thoughts. Adam is not who she thought he was and to make matters worse, she's falling in love with him.

Trish finds herself sleeping with the enemy in The Millionaire Meets His Match. Poised to seek revenge, she finds herself doubting both her motives and Adam's as well. Adam is convinced that Trish is not all she appears to be either; he thinks his mother is setting him up. When the truth is revealed to both of them, the sparks really fly! The Millionaire Meets His Match is a passionate love story with a cast of wonderful supporting characters. Adam, Cameron, and Brandon come from painful pasts. Their lives changed from dangerous and empty to successful and fulfilling when Sally Duke adopted them. I love the Duke men, and Sally is delightful. I look forward to seeing Adam's handsome brothers meet their matches!
