By the time we -- and by "we" I mean Boompa, Grandson and me -- got finished punching out five sturdy cardboard sheets of candy trails to create our own game and setting up the stations -- even assembling the spinner to play the game -- we were bored. Plus room is needed to set it up -- think setting up a train set. In theory, the game is a good idea. A new game every time one plays -- the candy trails can be set up in different variations but it's too many choices for young ones, for example: "1. Decide how many treat tokens players need to collect before going to the castle;" or "2. Place Lord Licorice on any space with his picture. For an easier game, you can choose not to use the Lord Licorice piece." It's not the Candy Land I remember.
So we did what we should have done in the first place. We went outside, flew a kite and chased little sister and Boompa on the three wheel bike.
