Make no mistake, this will work, and for more then records... really anything with a static charge (that isn't meant to be there).
For $100 friggin' dollars would it kill you to write some directions? What does it mean to you that EVERYONE has to go to youtube to learn how to use YOUR product?
Said directions would go like this.
The Zero stat works by flooding the front of the gun with positive ions (actuated by the SLOW squeeze of the trigger), then negative ions (actuated by the SLOW release of the trigger), therefore leaving the surface of the target with a net 0 charge (neither attracting dust nor repelling). The clicking sound coming from the trigger is indicating that you are squeezing or releasing TOO FAST.
Hold the record in free space. it will not work if it is in contact with any surface.
Hold the gun 12 inches from the target. The effective range is ~16 inches from the tip of the gun. Repeat this motion 4 times. The little extra tip IS A COVER. Place it on the gun when not in use.
Wow. You've been making this thing since the 70's and it took me 3 minutes to write this. Come on.
I use it on my vinyl collection, and I am very happy with the results. I am fanatical about keeping my records clean and use a Nitty Gritty as my vacuum system. Vacuum systems inherently add static to records, and the Milty does a great job of removing the static buildup. I had a couple of records that I was never able to get completely quiet and the Milty did the trick.
If you have a cleaning system in place and still have the odd pop or click give the Zerostat a try. It will take care of it. If you think this will quiet a dirty or abused record you are wasting your money.

Used the gun a couple of times in my records and dust comes off easier than without using the gun (hope it is not my imagination only :) )Published 1 day ago by Amazon Customer
I bought this hoping it would remove a lot of the surface noise from the newer records. But unfortunately this didn't do the trick. Read morePublished 16 days ago by Amazon Customer
Maybe I'm not using it correctly, but I can't see that it is making much of a difference.....could be just a matter of technique, but right now I'm not that impressed.Published 1 month ago by Rick Horn
Works well, and is essential for anyone who plays records. Bought on Amazon. Way overpriced. Good for keeping detritus off DVDs and CDs also.Published 1 month ago by F. P. Dunbar
Well, I've had this for under two months, and it doesn't work about half the time on the "pull" function. And yes, I am squeezing slowly, I do know how to use it. Read morePublished 1 month ago by J. Mark Lane
