Bought a new battery for my driver after 2 were not working properly. Found that charger was bad. I bought a new Charger & it only works with new battery. Old batteries were bad along with old charger.

Not understanding the complaints about "overheating" and "charger doesn't shut off". Maybe those were "Made FOR Milwaukee", or knockoff, or off-brand batteries?

My battery came in an OEM Milwaukee retail package and is genuine. Charges correctly & automatically shuts off when used with a genuine Milwaukee charger.

The 2 release clips are harder to press and release, then my 10 yr old batteries. Maybe the clips will soften up, over time. The battery itself, slides smoothly into the screwdriver.

Too bad the battery is not offered as a newer NiMH product. I guess it's not justifiable, given the 2.4 Volt screwdriver is a "mature" product. Milwaukee has reserved newer Li battery technology for their M4 product line.

My order was fulfilled by Tool Source, and I got a real Milwaukee 48-11-0100 battery. It works great, it charges properly, and it does not overheat, melt, fall apart, or otherwise fail during use.

Be careful who you buy these from, as I have gotten cheap fakes through Amazon twice in the past. If it doesn't arrive in Milwaukee packaging or doesn't say Milwaukee on the battery case - don't even try it, just send it back; because there are a lot of fakes being sold, and they are junk.

This appears to be OEM battery but the life is still NOT what I would expect. I have had the battery for over a year now and the charge does not hold well. Also, the life is very short compared to the battery I got with the drill.

The original batteries for this would charge and then the charger would shut down. These batteries, even though made by the original manufacturer of the powered screwdriver, do not shut down the charger when fully charged. The battery just gets hotter.

I ordered this replacement battery, because the original one finally died, and would no longer hold a charge. The new one works fine, and holds the charge for several weeks, when not being used. To top that it cost about one-half the price from Amazon, that Milwaukee sells them for on their website ??? How can you beat that.

I have owned a Milwaukee electric screwdriver for a long time. After about 7 years I had to replace the battery, then I saw the battery available on amazon and replaced it again because the time it would hold a charge was getting really short.

Recently I went to use the electric screwdriver and it would not operate. I bought another one and the new battery charged in the old charger and the gun worked fine, so all I really needed was the battery.

I agree with the one person that wrote in and said th battery didnt fit as well. Its a little more snug, but its a great drill and Ive had it since the 80's. I'm getting another battery so I will now have two of these wrist saving gems.

Got as a replacement for a dead battery, charged right up and so far holds a charge just fine. Fits just a tad bit tighter in my cordless than the battery that came with it, but I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing.
