Well made, cuts very well. It also has a nice ergonomic shape which help hand fatigue. I like better than my Craftsman. What could go wrong? It opens accidentally way to easy. Here is how to solve that annoying issue. Add a nylon tie, close it just right so it can tightly reach the other side of the handle. I think a picture would explain it better. I have included a picture for your convenience. It really does help keep it closed, as it should be.

I've been in construction for over 20 years and have used a variety of brands of aviation snips. I had high hopes for these, but it didn't take me long to realize what a nuisance they can be with the "one hand locking" mechanism. One hand locking is great -- even though I've never had any problem using one hand to lock any other snips. It takes just a slight squeeze of the handles (or light bump or slight jolt) to pop these open for use. They spend more time popped open than locked shut. This is aggravating when a tool wants to 'spring into action' at all the wrong times and get in the way in my tool bag or pouch. I would probably prefer to just go back to a pair of snips with the more standard pivoting clasp. These Milwaukee snips are ergonomically comfortable and have a solid feel and good cutting leverage, but the clasp just annoys me too much to recommend these to anyone. (I am, however, a fan of many of their other tools, both hand and powered).

Ever since Milwaukee started making hand tools, I've been looking for them and buying them. They're always very well made and are made of apparently quality material. I bought these recently at a local big box retail store. I used them to cut some extremely stubborn 1/4" thick aluminum material that acted as a bracket for a cooling passage while doing some work on a car. They didn't bind, and the edge was still nice and sharp afterwards, despite the effort it took to eventually cut my way though the material.

The one handed locking mechanism is cool, but I think it's gimmicky; something that is typically unnecessary for tools with this kind of purpose. Vague, yes, but I'd rather have a typical latch that can't really break, besides something that might break and permanently leave the snips open. The handle is nicely ergonomic, which was nice, considering how much force I was using to get through the material. Most snips tend to have poorly formed grips, or grips that seem to be formed as an afterthought, and make it both difficult to exert a lot of force and to stay comfortable while using. These grips are phenomenal by comparison.

These are by far the best snips I have ever used. I'm a union laborer in demolition and use snips every single day. These snips are 10 times better than WISS. I agree with everyone else, it is a pain when the snips open up from the safety lock, other then that, 5 star!

Most snips available have a standard form factor. What sets this apart is the handle shape and ease of release of the latch. The release spring force is also just right compared to other options I handled in stores; so it stays in your hand nicely.
The recessed bolt design appears simple but effective. I bought these originally to cut drop ceiling brackets. I haven't done any long cuts through large pieces of sheet metal.
