The lining is quite comfortable and warm enough for 50 degree mornings without being too hot for 80 degree afternoons, they block wind almost completely.
The only complaint is the right glove pinky has a seam that catches under the fingernail, which I basically take as an indication it's time to cut my nails.
There's no armor, so these gloves are for comfort and not a lot of protection. But comfortable they are.
I'm actually concerned that I'll eventually want another pair and they won't be available, so I'm ordering a second set to keep for the future.
Only complaint I have is that the velcro straps will detach at interstate speeds. Kind of annoying but it doesn't change the gloves' ability to insulate.
I honestly don't know who does their sizing but it's way off. My husband usually wears a size medium in gloves. After reading reviews I decided to order him the XL. They were too tight. He now has the XXL but finds them to be a bit snug. They are leather so we're hoping they'll stretch some. What happened to consistency in sizing?
