About the Author

Betty Shine was born in Kennington in 1929. Her grandmother was a spiritualist. Before she became a practising healer, she was a professional singer, and she has at times taught vitamin and mineral therapy, hand analysis and yoga. She lives and practises in the south of England. This woman is just amazing!!!! She really makes the case for mediumship and mind/energy healing without being all hippy about it (which often happens and it puts people off!!!) while looking for reiki books and energy healing this popped up in my suggestions . I am so glad I bought it, is a lovely book to read, uplifting and encouraging and I have bought the next few she has published too so I can just keep reading!!!! I believe in what Betty does and, to be honest, I think this book could even make some nonbelievers change their minds!!! Even if you don’t believe, it is a really interesting read!!!

I stumbled across Betty Shine by accident, as I have so many other authors I have come to know and love. I have been interested in healing for many years and have been practising in a professional capacity on and off for a couple of years now, but it has always been a side-line for me and never a full-time vocation as the years are going by im realising more and more that i would like to make healing my full-time calling. but i needed a source of inspiration, loads of people seem to practice Reiki est as a hobby or for extra money but very few seem to make it as a full-time healer. and i often wonder how efective your average reiki practitioner really is, don't get me wrong I believe anyone can bge taught how to channel universal healing energy and it is there for everyone but surely just as with everything in life there must be natural healers who were born purely gfor this purpose.

I really do think that everybody should read this book, and also Mind Magic, which I downloaded and read (again). I've recommended Betty's books to numerous people over the years and will probably read Mind Waves again next!
