Jack Gianni says:
Hello Everyone.

Lately I have been reading a couple of books on the mindfulness approach to self development and personal transformation. After reading Mindsight and the The Mind-Made Prison: Radical Self Help and Personal Transformation however, I am a little confused. What is the difference between mindfullness and meditation?

Mindfullness and meditation are pretty similar. Mindfulness is a state you choose to be in in the course of every day living, particularly when relating to another person and the stakes are high. Meditation in my book is when you sit down mindfully with no object in mind except to see what arises.
