I felt bad for Tessa. She’s an exhausted wife, mother, and business owner trying to be everything to everyone. She’s totally blindsided by Ethan’s betrayal.
I even (eventually) felt bad for Lindsey. She’s very naive. She’s not innocent in this affair. She knew and she still did it anyway. I think back on my own twenty something old self and wonder if I wasn’t somewhat the same. Did she have the life experience to handle this situation? I’m not sure if she did. She was very self- involved and couldn’t see beyond her own selfish needs and wants. Let’s just say she had some stalker tendencies too. Some of her choices were down right creepy. The Duke situation was just weird and scary.
Ethan was the only character that I did not feel sympathy for. Boo hoo my wife doesn’t pay attention to me like before. She’s so horrible. Let’s have sex. What a tortured soul!(eye-roll)
I would like to of known this character more. I have no idea who he is. Is he the family-man who was just caught up with an individual situation or is he a serial cheater that has cheated since the beginning of his relationship with wife?
I still don’t know the answer to that question after reading this book. There was some information that was found by Tessa, but it need to be explored more. I feel like the book was ended in the middle. There was no conclusion. It just stopped. Is there going to be a second book? I don’t know. I wanted a confrontation between all the main characters. Wife. Husband. Mistress. Now that would of been good.
I would advise anyone thinking about purchasing this book to do so with caution. You will not feel satisfied by the end You will be left with a feeling of “is that it”? And price shock.
