Kara is a down-on-her luck nursing student. Although she's a full-time employee at his mother's restaurant, he doesn't know her personally. In fact, they're strangers. Nonetheless, he's madly in love with her to the point of obsession. He fantasizes about her nonstop until a turn of events leads her into his life and home.
After being showered with his kindness, Kara finds herself falling in love with Simon. Just as strong are Simon's feelings, for he's falling more in love with her. However, given their personal issues, they're both wondering about their feelings.
This story has a fantasy element to it: Kara is rescued by a superrich prince (how many women experience that?). Additionally, there are some steamy sexual scenes in it. So, if you like the mixture of fairytale and erotica, this story will serve your literary taste well.
It should be noted that this is part of a trilogy.
This `book' gave me all sorts of pleasures. It was well-written with fleshed out characters, sensual, believable to some degree (which is usually a problem for this genre), and just a joy to read. I mean, an actual story amongst everything else? Well-played, J.S. Scott, well-played.
I decided to give five stars instead of four despite it not being the full thing because it was just so darned well done all around! And when that 99c deal for the boxed set popped up, you bet I snatched it up.
