Cons: As other reviewers have noted, these blocks are slightly too large to fit correctly in the grid squares of the stop-motion set. I think this was a HUGE oversight on the part of the manufacturers. I don't think my son plays with them very often, so not the best value overall.
If your child wants these to use for stop-motion animation, I would suggest either filling in the depressions in the stop motion stage (with paper squares or something--they aren't very deep), or making a new, flat stage with a lightly drawn grid big enough for these blocks. Foam core board would work well. Cover that with a grippy shelf liner and the blocks wouldn't slide around accidently between shots.
