Can play with up to 4 players on the PS4

Bought this game for our new PS4. It said single player only on the box and product description. On the PS4, with this product, that is just wrong. You can play up to 4 players (up to the number of controllers that you have). This makes the game much more fun for everyone. My 9 year old son is not a huge Minecraft fan, and he fell in love with LEGO Marvel Super Heros, so he hasn't played this game that much. But, it will work great on the PS4 for those who are looking for a Minecraft-cooperative experience.

What else needs to be said, it's Minecraft for the PS4. I bought this game for my son as he loves Minecraft and so far he's loving this game. That's the good. The bad? There are elements in this game that push you to purchase additional things. For instance, you need a PSN subscription to play multiplayer. Ok, that's fine and pretty much expected. Other things like theme packs (i.e. Halloween), can be played but the world cannot be saved unless you make an additional purchase. Overall though it's a nice game.

Fun, but freezes up...

Was super excited to play this. Already put in quite a few hours and it is extremely fun... however it'd frozen up 3 times on me already and I have to go to the Playstation menu and close the game completely, which makes me restart where it last auto saved me.

Excellent controls and gameplay through the PS4. I also have the PC version but the PS4 version is so much more UI friendly especially for those who don't know the designs for items. As long as you have the materials in your inventory the game will automatically create the desired items you select. Very convenient feature of the PS4 version.

Besides for that the game is just like regular Minecraft. Open world to explore and manipulate to your will. Want to build a giant floating castle in the sky? Done. Zombie slaying machine? Done. Giant labyrinth to confuse friends or trap enemies? Done. How about a city complete with skyscrapers? Yeah.

If that doesn't already sell you there is also local LAN support (up to four players), online play, huge PS4 generated maps, PSN add-on content, and leaderboards.

Good conversion of the PC version to console. Kid (6-year old) loves it. Don't let the pixelated graphics fool you ; this game is the ultimate sandbox, offering a canvas onto which anything can be created. Quite a bit of DLC available as well to add some flavor to your worlds. Highly recommended.

This is a great game and this product is 100% but I do caution, I bought this for my brother and we found out after that disks can go missing get scratched etc. It is much nicer to buy digital copies. If you like to have the disk- this is your answer! This review reflects personal opinion, If we had bought a digital copy we would still have this game on his account. Again this product is exactly as intended and was a great buy! Would recommend if you like having physical copies, but would suggest looking into digitally if you want a longer lasting safer method.

Highly underrated game. I understand its kind of a meme to hate this game, but dont be an idiot. Give the game a chance. Look at it from diffrent angles and form your own opinion 😇 You might just find you like the game. I was pleasantly surprised in just how great this game is and how much fun ive had playing it. Id recommend this game to anyone who enjoys making and creating worlds! By all means chek this game out! Especially considering how cheap in price it is. A great game for a great price!

My kids absolutely love Minecraft! They can play for a long time with this game. I love how easy my 6 year old picked up the concept and the controls. The fact that you can play multi player is definitely a plus!
