Prospective buyers should BE CAREFUL OF GLASS SHARDS when unwrapping these bowls if you decide to order. They were well-wrapped w/strips of a clear stretchy material as they were stacked. Then further cushioned w/clear, thin foam to keep the stack from moving around once placed in their cardboard box to be sold. Had the light not been just right—thanks to my under-cabinet lights—I'd have never noticed the clear glass shard that fell onto my counter top as I unwrapped them since the bowls themselves were perfect..That said, I bought these bowls for my 18 yr old cat's food since I currently use clear glass dessert dishes—purchased a lifetime ago—for both his wet & dry food but none even similar to those were to be found. The bowl portion of the raised white bowls I had switched to some time ago is much too large & flat to keep his wet food from drying out. So I place a product like Blu-Tack in the center and then press down on the little bowls which keeps them from moving around as he eats.Since he's not a big eater these prep bowls are perfect and they also allow me to prepare & refrigerate his food the night before so I can tend to my own needs in the morning. The smallest size of clear silicone bowl covers is just right to cover them before refrigerating, and 18 seconds on half-power of my 1200W microwave oven nicely heats his wet food. So if the need should ever arise again I wouldn't hesitate to purchase more.
