The One Minute Presenter by Warwick John Fahy shows us how to become a more effective presenter. I love how he has designed his book for three different reading speeds. For really fast reading, each chapter starts with three columns: Content; One Minute Learning; and Process. It's easy to skip around in the book to find your specific problem area, and then go back to peruse those chapters.

Mr. Fahy is a great communicator as you can see in how he lays out the "Roadmap" for a great presentation. He offers a lot of information on how to overcome fear, treasure your audience, and my favorite chapter--Produce Your Message. He walks you through giving a presentation, step-by-step, and ends with a strong finish. It's an easy and fast read, and I recommend this to anyone wanting to give a winning presentation.

A truly enlightened author, noted international speaker, and global successful businessman has prepared a much-needed and highly-valued book entitled The One-Minute Presenter. Th author fills a desperate need for speakers, businesspeople, entrepreneurs, authors and anyone who communicates, teaches, and trains others as part of their business roles. Fahy focuses on developing and refining your ability to communicate and present your ideas in 8 detailed, bulletproofed steps to generations whose short visual attention span demands immediate, concise knowledge.

One point Fahy clarifies is whether you are a digital immigrant or a digital native, who is anyone who grew up with technology and born after 1980. Then he shows you clearly how to communicate to your audience. Another important feature of the book is the easy format using columns to highlight chapter content, points learned & the process. Each book sections focuses on the next step of the challenges you will face, the road map for the presenter's journey, and the call to action along with resources. I highly recommend this resource as a user and a reader and can attest first-hand to the processes provided.

Although 234 pages long, it's a quick read because of the way the book is laid out. In keeping with his message, Warwick is respectful of his reader's time, attention span and what we want to get out of this book. You can read the book in its entirety or just skip to the sections that pertain to you. To help with this, he gives a short quiz to help you determine of which areas you should focus.

None of us want to be one of those boring speakers, dragging a restless audience through to the end of the speech. The One Minute Presenter covers, among other things, how to related to the audience, how to maintain attention and how to give the listeners the information they are seeking, rather than the info we want them to have.

This could be an essential guide for ALL speakers, not just those in business.

Many people are so afraid of public speaking that they would rather run blindfolded down the middle of a busy highway than make a presentation to an audience. The formal name for speechmaking anxiety, which affects three out of every four people, is glossophobia. This fear is so abject that in polls it outranks necrophobia, the fear of dying. Are you a glossophobe? If so, take heart: Presentation expert Warwick John Fahy, a member of Toastmasters International's Hall of Fame, has the answer to your problem. He details eight steps toward becoming a more confident public speaker, including some "fearbusters" you can use to conquer your dread of making presentations. This easy-to-follow program can help anyone present fearlessly. getAbstract recommends Fahy's valuable advice on public speaking.

I have presented in the USA, New Zealand, Australia, and Ghana, Africa. People were touched and came up to me afterwords to discuss things, but; did they really get the point I was trying to make?

The One Minute Presenter helped me fine-tune and hone "the Point". If you are speaking any length of time, even 15 minutes, you can lose concentration for just an instant and find yourself chasing bunnies down the path.

Warwik John Fahy has the experience and the antecdote to this problem. Step by step, he has you checking your self motives, the "why" of the presentation and puts you in the shoes of the attendees. What do they want to get from this?

I believe anyone will benefit from reading this book! As we speak daily, and have many situations where we need to share information. Many times we want to help someone else see our vision and come to our side.

"The One Minute Presenter" is an easy-to-read, easy-to-understand, complete resource for anyone who wants to give a professional presentation. John Warwick offers help in three formats; in-depth advice, quick review or "One Minute learning". As a professional speaker and author, I especially appreciated John's explanation of our short attention spans and how to adjust our presentations with these issues in mind.
