I bought Miracles because although I know God does miracles, I wanted to KNOW He does miracles. This book with 32 true-life stories of God's divine intervention deepened my faith and awakened my desire to be on the look-out for them in my own life and in the lives of those around me.

If you let them, the stories in Miracle will move you to tears. If you welcome them, them they will be a balm to you as a believer even if your miracle doesn't come this side of heaven.

Sometimes it takes a look into the events of other people's lives to see instances where God's hand was there in your own life! Sometimes these interventions are obvious and a top of the mountain experience and sometimes they are a quiet nudge or gentle leading. Miracles was one of those reads you can't put down - it took two sittings only because life interjected itself - otherwise it would have been non-stop! I loved the story of the little girl who was surrounded by angels - wonderful!! Let this book bless you and remind you how much you are loved.

There is no better story than the one our God writes in our lives. This book is a compilation of real happenings in the lives of actual people who are recipients of God's mercy and grace. I enjoy the author's writing style, you will not be disappointed. I'm hoping she'll write a second!

I obtained a copy of this book expecting 32 stories of the miraculous. A miracle is defined as a supernatural occurrence or act; wonder or marvel. While these stories were very sweet in the main; after a while I quit reading because they were really not miraculous. I was really touched by the authors introduction and could really relate to her struggle to undertake writing this book. It's just that I was expecting miracle stories. Maybe it should have been titled "God's grace" I read several of the stories and even though they were nice stories, they were not stories of the miraculous. Let's not dumb things down. God is awesome! He does miracles (i.e. supernatural things). Spread the word with actual jaw-dropping stories like you hear on the "Finger of God" dvd There's even a story of God raising up the dead there. Now that's a miracle! To the author, I love your writing style. Do another book, be more accurate/truthful.

I picked this one up because it was a free download and because I am always interested in hearing or seeing what God is doing around us. I'm glad I did. It's a collection of stories of miracles in the lives of several people. The author starts the book by saying she is not a writer, perhaps to combat any disparaging reviews. I read these stories and was encouraged, inspired and uplifted. As a writer myself, that is the whole point of writing. As a reader, that is the only reason I read.

If you'd like to read how God operates incognito much of the time and how miracles are often cloaked in suffering and pain, how God often moves people to act (often without their knowledge) or if you just need a reminder of how great a God we serve, grab this book. You will be glad you did.

I was very disappointed in this book, and did not finish it. When I read a book about miracles, I actually want to be able to read about the miracle. There was so much scripture that I lost track of the actual story long before it was over. I expect to be able to read a book and draw my own conclusions, not have the bible shoved down my throat at the expense of the story. Sadly, I could not find the stories.

This is just an ebook I got free a few years ago and finally have read it. What an inspiring story or 32 stories I should say. It is full of such wonderful, precious things that have happened. You will read how God has protected or how He has sent people signs by different things that happen.
In the above section talking about this book it tells about a boy recovering from a massive brain injury. In that story a boy/young man wanted to see a miracle and God let him be in a miracle. He was in a horrible car accident with the doctors saying he wouldn’t survive and if he did he would be brain damaged. He comes through it all and doesn’t need much time to recover to his self before the accident. Afterwards he said during the accident God reached down and held his hand.
Many more stories in this book just like that. Very good and I recommend it.

This is my own book and I wasn’t asked to review it

When people think about miracles, too often their minds go to the parting of the Red Sea, Jesus' feeding of the 5,000 and whatever other highly visible, dramatic demonstration of Godly power comes to mind.

This is understandable. God has and does perform these types of miracles. But if we limit our perception of the miraculous as some type of motion picture event we miss the daily, yes, I said daily miracles he performs in our lives.

What this book illustrates is a deep truth of the Christian faith. Surrendering to God in an act of faith releases from within oneself the self imposed restrictions that blind us to God's miraculous interventions in our lives. God's biggest miracles often occur when we take the tiniest steps toward him and he then orchestrates blessings or interventions we could never have imagined. And if we do not have receptive spirits, we miss the opportunity, the blessing and the evidence.

All of this is to say that this simple book is a chance to see this in the lives of a few real people. This is empowering.

No matter how new or deep your faith, reading other people share the experience of surrender to and recognition of God's hand in their lives will encourage and strengthen your walk. This is not deep theology. It's just life lived out with God. A buy signal from me.
