The Downfall of Catie Bloom - Intense. Funny. A well written story. I read the Misadventures of Catie Bloom and loved it. I didn't read the second book The Adventures of Natalie Bloom, but it wasn't that necessary to enjoy Downfall. While not as hilarious as Mis, because of the serious issues, Df is a better, more substantial story. The characters are believable and the plot just rolls along a twisting path. I enjoyed the book so much I read it in one sitting. It also reminded me of two classic movies with Barbara Stanwyck and Ginger Rogers as "Catie", except they had babies added to the mix.
Ignite - A short story about Catie, Natalie, Beth and Sam. How Catie started down her road of misadventures. The beginning of Catie and Sam's relationship starts here. It's funny and interesting; takes minutes to read.
I gave the book 3 stars for the original story. But there should be a moral to it in there is not one I would like. I hope the next book will have better one. There is hope, it seems Catie doe not like being untruthful.
Lots of tall tales and half truths manage to keep her life interesting and bumpy. A cute read. I received an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review.
