Along with this are the expected, even required plot devices--the rough-hewn humor, the gun battles, the cavalry riding to the rescue . . . but none of these are what that appear to be in the beginning. It keeps the reader guessing.
Of course, there is also quite a bit of humor, much of it of the gallows variety.
It rocks right along, with few if any lulls in the action. If you're looking for something that'll engage your interest until the very end, and provoke a few laughs and some chills along the way, this book is for you!
