You really must see this band live. Although this CD show cases most of the songs the band is currently playing in their live set, the recording does not capture the band's energy and humor. If you have a chance to see this band live; DO!

I already panned them with my review of my two other purchases of "Bouquet," and " Kiss Kiss." I say again, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery," but sincerity is what they lack in attempting to copy the "Gypsy Jazz" of Django Reinhardt and Stephan Grapelli. They're too campy and kitschy with the sound of their redundant harmonies. On the positive side, it's refreshing to hear younger musicians trying to break free from the restraints of old styles.

They sound like a fun and happy group. I'll bet they are a ton of fun live.

I guess, for me, it suffers from them being too good. My favorite music is full of energy and drive and you can just hear the struggle of the group getting "the" sound. I can't explain it any other way, but a group of folks just coaxing every ounce of passion from their instruments, a vocalist who is feeling those lyrics so much they can barely contain themselves to get it onto the track... that is what draws me to LOVE a band.

CoT don't have that. What they do have, I just don't care for much. Gogol Bordello for my "gypsy" fix.

Bought the CD after seeing them live at a three-day festival. Lot's of big names, but this set was the most fun and most entertaining. If you don't care much for mainstream music and like energetic shows, try this. The live show is a blast. This album recreates it pretty well. The Queen and Talking Heads covers are really fun.
