The well-done plot is structured so that every event ties together in the end. The characters are strong but also endearing even the supporting ones except for the bad guys, of course. It was great to catch up with characters from other books in the series. They play a part in suspense of the story. I enjoyed seeing how intertwined their lives were. Another character I adored is the dog, Bogey. Besides being one of Misha’s first new connections, he plays an important part to this story too.
I did find that some elements of the story were predictable especially with the villains. I could see them becoming violent as the story progressed which is exactly what they did. I didn’t see some things happening at the end with Misha’s dad. I think it was logical, fitting the story, giving an extra sweet touch to the story.
I would have been sorely disappointed if the conclusion had been any different. Since it ended just as I wanted it to, I am one happy camper. Misha is a keeper and so is this book!
The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book.
