He demostrates that emotions precede actions by using the trail of LTC Allen West as the backdrop. He shows that fear, love, and adaptation may drive individual or group actions that may not be in alignment with organizational policies. We are made to feel and identify with LTC Allen West experience in a crisis. We are left to wonder if we would have acted in a similar way. Important to understanding the gap between individual and group actions and the organization's policies.
