"As an educator, I could not have found a better book than The Missing Semester for teaching personal finance. The book takes often boring and complicated information and makes it applicable and accessible to high school students."

After reading The Missing Semester, I found it to be exceptional. Many times authors forget to speak to their target audience and provide the product they think they need to produce. Matt and Gene have done a great job of "talking" tothe students in their own language and have made the book a useful, usable tool for students by making it short and sweet."

From the Author
Money 101, it is "The Missing Semester" in far too many of our nation's schools and homes. We have had the privilege and pleasure to work with a growing number of organizations, high school and college students in the area loosely defined as financial literacy. The enthusiasm with which this topic is being embraced is staggering. Think about it: every school (high school, college, trade) will have it's share of doctors, electricians, engineers, mechanics and dropouts. 100% will make decisions about money.
The consequences of early financial decisions can be far-reaching, perhaps permanent. While we are grateful for the programs that have implemented The Missing Semester, getting the concepts introduced to the widest audience is far more important. Getting the concepts recognized as essential, and incorporated broadly into the educational system, have been goals since our efforts began. This book is one tool, there are other good ones out there.
Thank you to the countless people who have selflessly given their time in support of this book. The list is a long one, and your time is and has been sincerely appreciated.
