William Matheson may have money, youth, and looks, but it does nothing for his character. Naomi Shaw feels honored at first that he would choose her but soon comes to see that he isn’t interested in cherishing her so much as owning her. For a woman who is missing the feeling of being embraced by family, this presents a conundrum. She is given a chance to get away from William’s overbearing and abusive ways when she is given notice of her grandmother’s passing.
Naomi leaves the fast pace of London, England for the relaxed town of Chandler County unsure of what to do next, but her next-door neighbor Tyler Hudson gives her plenty to think about and feel. (swoon)
Of course, my question was whether Tyler and Naomi’s budding relationship and her family reunion would be enough to keep Naomi in Chandler County and what would happen when William found out where she was because it was inevitable. I was both surprised and ecstatic by the answers, but you will have to read to find out what happens for yourself.
Naomi is fleeing from William, her ex-fiancé. Her grandmother just dies so she travels to Chandler County to the reading of her will, and to meet her mother's family. There she meets handsome neighbor Tyler, who has similar issues of his own. His ex-fiancé is not what he wants for a permanent relationship and building a family, but she doesn't seem to accept the idea of losing him.
Tyler needs help with his business, and Naomi needs something to do and get her of her anxiety at the threatening texts she's been receiving from William. So as they get to know each other, they wonder if what they've been looking for so long is right in front of their eyes...
Until things turn dangerous for Naomi with her ex stalking her. And Tyler is pursued too. Will they be able to surpass the obstacle that come their way. Can Tyler protect Naomi on time, or will his efforts come too late?
This was an amazing story of love and second chances, mixed with danger and intrigue. There's also an inspiring message behind, that felt natural, not preachy at all, about trusting God with your life.
I loved the characters and the plot captivated me. I definitely recommend this story! And now, being sheltered at home is the perfect time to get engrossed in this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book but this is my honest and unbiased opinion.
She was going to be staying at her grandmother’s house until the fading of the will. That is when she meant the next door neighbor Tyler. He had to get the mysterious thing out of the upstairs. Tyler was in a relationship with Adele but he also realized it was over. Adele was too interested in all the gossip i stead of Tyler’s interests.
The reading of the will proved quite fascinating as Naomi found out she had a half sister. Let’s just say this book had lots of twist and turns but I couldn’t put it down because I wanted to know which ex was the worst. It kept me guessing was it going to be William or Adele? Both of them were horrible people but I do believe Adele wins. I loved the fact that this is a good clean and Christian book! I don’t think you will be disappointed at all in this book!
