The Back Up Polymer Flip up Front Sight with standard iron sight elevation adjustment mounts onto a 1913 Picatinny rail and accepts any standard front post blade. A standard front sight tool is required with each click equaling the standard 1/4 MOA. Unlike other backup sights MFT has developed a shroud that shelters the front post blade from debris and impact damage when not deployed. A slim profile allows the sight to sit under most optics. Manufactured using a specially developed reinforced, super tough polyamide. Made in the USA Features: - Full Elevation adjustment, tool required - Low profile snag resistant design - Shroud protects front post blade from debris and impact damage - Accepts any standard front post blade - Can fold to the rear, the correct direction if dropped Color: Black.

there flimsy and flex too much i just cant trust them
On 1/10/15 I made the mistake of purchasing a complete set of these, front and rear. After getting them home and opening them I can honestly say that these have to be one of the worst purchases I have ever made! These sights are very cheaply manufactured and are just plain sloppy right out of the package! I truly feel that even Chinese Diamond Head "knockoffs" would be a much wiser and more useful investment!
On the front sight, the pivot point is assembled with a pin that utilizes an e-clip on the internal portion of the sight body to retain it. On mine the e-clip was not attached to the pin but was discovered floating around inside the sight body upon initially opening it. While I was able to easily reinstall it I now have two questions to ask MFT... Do you guys have any sort of a Quality Assurance program these enter before leaving and, if this clip vibrates loose from shipping then what do you think will happen during actual field use? Next, I have to comment on the sloppy deployment mechanism, the flimsy front sight post mounting design, and the inadequate single point rail attachment method. These are all sub par and would not pass a drop test much less withstand a day of actual field use!
While no parts were floating around when I opened the rear sight, it too is plagued with just as many of the same issues as the front. The attachment method, deployment mechanism, and pivot point pin/e-clip are exactly of the same sloppy design as the front. I also noticed on my rear sight, when deployed it goes slightly forward and past the 90 degree vertical plane. While this may not be an actual functionality flaw, I myself feel it is simply a sign of poor workmanship and quality control!
While I have used, praised, and recommended MFT's butt-stocks such as the Minimalist. I simply CANNOT recommend these sights to anyone! I honestly don't even think they would be suitable for air rifle or paint ball use much less an actual field rifle!
If any other reviews are needed or you feel I am biased in any way, do a quick youtube search for "MFT back up flip sights review". Please note: The video is not mine but I sure wish I would have found it before wasting my money! I hope this helps anyone that may be contemplating making a back-up sight purchase in the near future!
