Are you getting ready for a mission and worried about the tough somewhat obscure questions you may be asked? Then you should definitely give this book a look. Even if you are just looking at how to answer the questions you face in daily life concerning the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It gives you the sound gospel backing for some of the questions that make you say, "wait I dunno... I have never really thought about that" A great resource; for missionaries, for talks, for family home evenings and more.

My husband was THE worst investigator ever. He will attest to that. Visits with the missionaries were futile, and each meeting left us all feeling defeated and without the spirit. We never said a closing prayer as contention was high and, I'm sure, the missionaries were always quick to want to get out of our home. This went on for months.. He would break open the laptop during their meetings, spout anti-Mormon literature verbatim, and they would leave.. I think we all left there crying inside.

But then one of the missionaries brought us this book. This tiny little book had ALL the information my husband could possibly need, all condensed (with sources to the scriptures themselves) and organized into a tiny little book. He and I read the book, cover to cover, in the span of a couple of days. This book answered EVERY question he had, clarified ALL the confusion he felt, and changed his heart COMPLETELY. After weeks of introspection (when there were months and months and months of questions), he surprised us all with his desire to be baptized.

This book has amazing (and very succinct) answers to some of THE most difficult questions we've ever heard. We gave our copy to my in-laws and never saw it again, unfortunately. (Almost 100% certain they didn't see it again, either.) But I would absolutely buy it again and definitely suggest it to anyone in our same situation.

Our daughter left on her mission on Jan. 15th. She enjoyed this book and it answered several
of her questions.

I read The Missionaries Little Book of Answers by Gilbert W. Sharffs book this week and found it outstanding in every way. The book is thoughtfully well researched and the information provided therein was accurate and compelling. An excellent read for those curious about ancient scripture, Christianity and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

There is nothing to backup the content in this book. The LDS churche's essays do a better job at addressing the issues brought up. But the content in this book is outdated and some of it has already been proven wrong. I guess it's good for someone who doesn't care about facts, but prefers a one sided opinion. You NEED to address both sides of the issues. Also check out the Letter to a CES Director if you want to get more facts about the issues. I have read this entire thing through, and there is a lot to be desired.
