The ending pulls out every emotion and the writing is not only riveting but heartfelt and beautifully done. The characters are well drawn and the revelations that Kim experiences, both from her time with Zeke at the writer's conference and the tender moments with her father, allow her to finally face her demons from the past. Zeke is a wonderfully drawn character and a man very easy to like, especially since he helps Kim to understand that she is indeed worthy of being loved. Also for those aspiring authors out there, since the story takes place primarily at a writer's conference, it will give you a peek at what it's like to try and get your book published!
Engaging, moving, funny, tender, informative and with two great supporting characters in Kim's new friend Samantha and Kim's father Rob, this book is a treat from start to finish and it might just help you believe that sometimes good things really do happen to good people, especially at Christmastime. Five Stars for Richard Paul Evans and The Mistletoe Inn.
This story centers around Kim Rossi, an aspiring romance writer who travels to Vermont to attend a writers conference where her favorite author is to be the Key note speaker. While there she meets the handsome, intriguing Zeke and few other creative characters. With Zeke’s attention, her father and through these learning events, Kim learns that she is worthy of love and begins to deal with her feelings of abandonment that began with her mother’s devastating choice when she was a child and continued through several difficult relationships. The sensitive subjects of depression and suicide discussed in this story are handled beautifully with grace and dignity throughout this book.
Richard Paul Evans has again enthralled his readers with a sweet love story that is as thought provoking as it is touching. I found myself hugging this book and not wanting to put it down when it was over. I have already read it a second time and I know that I will be reading the books of this collection a few more times during the Christmas season. I adore this book and cannot wait to share it with others. A perfect gift for anyone on your list!
I started the book after lunch and finished 15 minutes ago.
I love to share so here are my thoughts.
The story line was somewhat predictable. Romance with a happy end is nevertheless a romance with a happy end!
There was a little too much about the writers workshops and it was obvious to me who, at the end, who the "fairy godmother" or "godfather", in this case, was.
As I have already read the Mistletoe Promise (another book in the trilogy and already reviewed by yours truly)I cannot (like another reviewer) complain that it figures as a prominent character in the book. It is totally relevant. I think, actually honored reviewer you and I read the books out of order..
I will definitely read the third book planned in the series. As far as I know I am the only RPE reader of my nationality in this part of the world and I obtain the books by Kindle. I will buy them all.

Disappointed because I remembered this author's book "The Christmas Box" as being pretty good. This story was predictable. Attempts at descriptive writing lacking. Read morePublished 10 days ago by Denise
