In this predictable but sweet romance, Kim goes to a romance writer's conference to meet her idol and meets an intriguing man, Zeke. Their whirlwind romance touched many different emotions. I have to say, however, that my favorite part of the novel was how tenderly RPE touched on suicide and depression. As the daughter of someone who died by suicide, I have often felt the same feelings as the characters in this novel. Thank you for addressing issues that many won't.

This was my first Richard Paul Evans book and all I can say is he has a new fan! What a treat this book was... although I had a pretty good idea where this story was going, it was still a great trip getting there. Kim has not had a lot of luck in the romance department, yet her dream is to get her romance book published. So she attends a romance writer's conference where she makes two new friends... Samantha and Zeke... one will entertain her and make her laugh and the other will cause her to look at herself and how she views her life in a totally different way. Kim also has a very close and loving relationship with her father who is key in helping Kim take those difficult steps towards the healing she so desperately needs.

The ending pulls out every emotion and the writing is not only riveting but heartfelt and beautifully done. The characters are well drawn and the revelations that Kim experiences, both from her time with Zeke at the writer's conference and the tender moments with her father, allow her to finally face her demons from the past. Zeke is a wonderfully drawn character and a man very easy to like, especially since he helps Kim to understand that she is indeed worthy of being loved. Also for those aspiring authors out there, since the story takes place primarily at a writer's conference, it will give you a peek at what it's like to try and get your book published!

Engaging, moving, funny, tender, informative and with two great supporting characters in Kim's new friend Samantha and Kim's father Rob, this book is a treat from start to finish and it might just help you believe that sometimes good things really do happen to good people, especially at Christmastime. Five Stars for Richard Paul Evans and The Mistletoe Inn.

I started reading “The Mistletoe Inn” at 2 am when I noticed that it had been sent to my Kindle. I had ordered 2 copies that were due early in the afternoon but I couldn’t wait another minute to savor this story.
This story centers around Kim Rossi, an aspiring romance writer who travels to Vermont to attend a writers conference where her favorite author is to be the Key note speaker. While there she meets the handsome, intriguing Zeke and few other creative characters. With Zeke’s attention, her father and through these learning events, Kim learns that she is worthy of love and begins to deal with her feelings of abandonment that began with her mother’s devastating choice when she was a child and continued through several difficult relationships. The sensitive subjects of depression and suicide discussed in this story are handled beautifully with grace and dignity throughout this book.
Richard Paul Evans has again enthralled his readers with a sweet love story that is as thought provoking as it is touching. I found myself hugging this book and not wanting to put it down when it was over. I have already read it a second time and I know that I will be reading the books of this collection a few more times during the Christmas season. I adore this book and cannot wait to share it with others. A perfect gift for anyone on your list!

I wanted so badly to be able to give this book five stars because there are so many things I love about it and I'm a huge fans of Evans' work. Although it is an easy, quick read that I pushed through in a day, I felt like there was so much information about the writing conference in the book that it almost seemed to take over the story at times. It kind of seemed like a lot of fluff that you didn't need to know so many details about. I wanted to read more about the actual people and not every single detail that happens at a writers conference. He wrapped things up well though and I loved the ending of the book! Overall, I would definitely recommend it, I just didn't love it as much as I did The Mistletoe Promise and some of his other books.

I was interested in the book because it was about an aspiring romance writer who goes to a conference to learn more about writing and meet agents. This seemed like a good start. But the lonely writer goes gaga over one of the other students, and the story becomes the script for an Oxygen TV movie. The rest of the plot and subplot are rather transparent, easy to predict early on, and not believable.

I have all of Richard Paul Evan's books and love everyone of them. They tell a good story without any graphic sexual content or violence, and leave you with a good feeling when you finish reading them. I have met him at a couple of book signings and he is just a wonderfully kind person. I recommend his books to anyone.

Friday afternoon, laundry is hanging in the breeze - what better way to spend the afternoon than reading a book by RPE.
I started the book after lunch and finished 15 minutes ago.
I love to share so here are my thoughts.
The story line was somewhat predictable. Romance with a happy end is nevertheless a romance with a happy end!
There was a little too much about the writers workshops and it was obvious to me who, at the end, who the "fairy godmother" or "godfather", in this case, was.
As I have already read the Mistletoe Promise (another book in the trilogy and already reviewed by yours truly)I cannot (like another reviewer) complain that it figures as a prominent character in the book. It is totally relevant. I think, actually honored reviewer you and I read the books out of order..
I will definitely read the third book planned in the series. As far as I know I am the only RPE reader of my nationality in this part of the world and I obtain the books by Kindle. I will buy them all.
