MUST GET if you love figs...

So, I had this unexpectedly in NYC while showing off the town to a friend a year ago. It was at one of those temporary stores -- what are they called again??? -- just to have people taste items. Start-up shoppes?? Anyway, it was for cheeses and jams and such. This was one of the items and was VERY yummy. We each purchased 2.
Then, while whim-shopping @ Amazon I saw this. FIGS! How can you go wrong with figs from Spain. So I purchased 2 jars without realizing it was the same fantastic item as I'd had in NYC. BUT...... these items here are MUCH better because they are SO FRESH!! OH MY is this a treat. I can eat it by the spoon. Fresh. I've said that, haven't I? What a wonderful texture and flavour and bouquet.
yummy yummy -- a jar lasts only a few days around here!

I'll buy this again - maybe not here this summer, though. But I purchase the Mitica brand items at Wegmans, but last time they must have been promoting Mitica because there were many things too try. I wish now that I had bought more of this - only about a month ago, as I finished this jar yesterday. Sigh!
So many fig jam products have added ingredients that I don't care for. This has honey, not sugar; I love that!

I ordered this on a whim, not knowing much about figs but always having been curious. Figs from Spain, sounded cool, and in a jam form so I didn't need to know how to fix a fig. Now I'm ordering it again, liked it so much the first go-round. I added it to salad dressings (balsamic) and will try it in caponata this time as well. You can add it to all sorts of things for a little extra taste, sweetness, and fiber too ;). Full of good things for the body and soul. Seems to this inexperienced fig-eater to be of wonderful quality, lovely jar.
