We have seen variations on the Big Lie time and again in the past century -- whether it is a question of monetary policy (Federal Reserve and the alleged Sixteenth Amendment), war (fraudulent pretexts to instigate the entry of America into foreign adventurism), domestic control (inducing Police State compliance by inciting fear of bogeymen "terrorists"), assassination coverups (so-called "lone nut" killers), abortion (fictions about unborn babies in order to disparage their right to life), and now homosexuality (the myth that psychologically disturbed people are "born that way" when it is clear that dysfunctional family relationships and early childhood abuse are the primary causative factors of this disoriented emotional condition).
Amy Contrada deserves the highest gratitude and praise for her outstanding labor.
Republican candidates know that they're supposed to use rhetoric mirroring GOP Platform principles on the campaign trail, but not enough of them follow those principles once elected. I live in Illinois, where deception by Republicans is common. The Democrats, to their credit, are usually honest about their support for the wrong policies. We have a big fiscal and cultural mess to clean up in Illinois and in America. In the pages of Amy's book you will learn what you need to know in advance of casting your vote in the Republican primary.
Amy's book is Mitt Romney's worst nightmare. While his `flip-flops' are well known, his record as Massachusetts governor as outlined in Contrada's book is not well known. Mitt Romney would like nothing better than to win the votes of marriage-defending social conservatives. If they buy and read this book, however, they'll be voting for another candidate.
I can only hope that her work inspires a whole new genre - record based `tell alls' that will help us weed out the Republicans-in-name-only. Our culture and our country cannot afford leadership that is blatantly dishonest.
Thank you for being a watchwoman on the wall as God has called you (and all of us who are Christians)to be!
