I'm very pleased with this one-cup coffee maker. It's quiet and efficient and makes a good cup of coffee. The matching travel mug that comes with it is convenient, with a simple sliding aperture in the lid, and keeps your coffee hot for a long time. (I also like that the mug has two metal sections and one wide plastic one, so if you want to warm your hands on it while drinking your coffee you can, or you can choose to just hold it on the plastic insulated band!) The unit cleans up easily, is very light weight and compact, and we will definitely be taking it in our RV on our next trip since it takes up so little space on the counter. A very good deal for the price!

I love flavored coffee and missed all the great flavors I could get in ground coffee since we changed to Kcups. I know - I could get a filter but have been through two that didn't work well. So I bought this and I keep it in my bathroom. I start a cup of coffee as I jump in the shower. I get the lovely smells of the flavors and a hot cup when I get out. It's so easy and so portable I took it with me to a hotel knowing they didn't have coffee I really enjoyed. This little thing is worth every penny I spent on it - and then some.

The only reason this gets four out of five stars is because the directions are written in such small print that you need a magnifier or reading glasses and the directions are a tad more complicated than need be. A big plus is that you do not need to purchase coffee filters in order to use this. Clean and wash right after making coffee and you will be fine. It is easy and fast to clean and makes a great cup of coffee and/or espresso. It does not use pods but, if you have pods than I suggest you do what I do. Cut the pod open and pour it into the filter. I also recommend this as a gift for any coffee lover you know.

I got this because my mom was visiting and she likes her drip coffee.

Pros:

Cheap but works. It makes drip coffee. And the tumbler lets you drink. It works.

Has everything you need. The to-go tumbler works and is at least a little insulated. Fill it with water and pour that into the brew chamber as an easy measure. Put a scoop or two of coffee in the basket. Hit the button. Coffee.

The drip maker + tumbler is great even if you don't want the tumbler. Catch the coffee in the tumbler anyway and use that to pour to your mug, which helps stir up any sediment anyway, making for a better cup. Sure you can just brew into your mug if you prefer, but I'm fine with this setup either way.

The included filter is acceptable. It's a metal filter, which means more sediment, but so long as you toss the last tablespoon or so of coffee you won't really taste the little bit of "mud" that metal filters always leave.

Cons:

Everything is quite cheap. The unit barely even stays put when you push the button, it's so light. The mug is just barely held together. It works, but it feels cheap because it is cheap. And it's not really insulated. It's just a plastic cup with a metal holder. This kind of works, but it's not a vacuum flask or anything.

Not easy to clean. The filter basket is open so as hot water pours in, it can splash grounds around inside the machine. This doesn't hurt performance, but you will have to occasionally dig down in there to clean it out.

Overall:

Yes it's basically the cheapest thing on the market. You get what you pay for. But drip coffee technology is dead simple so I'm not expecting major problems. And the cheapest part of the maker is the tumbler, so even if that gives out, the coffee maker should continue to work for a good time. You hit the button, and it makes a to-go cup of coffee. Recommended.

I wanted something more convenient that my pour-over. This fit perfectly on the counter of my tiny home! I set it up, and ran 5 cycles of water to flush out any manufacturing debris. (As one should with any new appliance) The next morning I was excited to try my new coffee maker. The first cup had an off flavour. I threw it out and made another. Same taste. I was disappointed. I threw that cup out and made a pour-over. Much less convenient... The coffee maker puts out about 70 degree coffee. I prefer my coffee to be about 85. I gave it a three star because it could be right for you. Small footprint, price and convenience this coffee maker is great! If you like a blazing hot cup of coffee you might want to explore other options.

I absolutely love my new coffee maker with matching mug. The filter is so easy to clean too. I first let the grains cool down then tap the bottom and let the grains drop into paper bag for compost. Then I just rinse the filter with hot water. Comes out clean. Then I rinse the filter holder too in hot water. That's it. So easy once you do the first two run through with vinegar water then just cold water. The other thing I love is the click it makes when you press the button. Makes things easier for me since I am completely blind. Makes a perfect mug of coffee. I would highly recommend this to my friends. Btw you need to let the maker completely cool down, takes about 5 minutes. If you try to make a second cup right away, the machine will not click on until completely cool down. Love that feature too.

Baskets clean easily and I can iadjust the strength by adding more or less coffee. Very light and the price was worth it, IMO. BTW, delivery was excellent.
