Mizuno Men's Wave Paradox Running Shoe
Mizuno Wave Paradox
Embrace the Paradox of lightweight support. The name says it all because it’s stunningly lightweight and yet also amazingly stable. We combined everything we have learned about control shoes with our lightweight construction methods to create a shoe for excessive overpronation without the extra weight. A Smoothride engineered midsole with Double Fan Wave Technology provides a stable ride from landing to toe-off. Our U4ic midsole delivers lightweight, resilient cushioning. And Dynamotion Fit upper delivers snug, conforming support where needed. The wide forefoot gauge provides maximum support through engineered geometry. A new 3D print execution delivers a true paradox - the pattern appears to have curves, yet the graphic is made entirely of straight lines. When you add up all of these features, you’ll be running with a shoe that gives you an efficient and responsive ride with every stride.

Is important to mention that I do have acl, and I got meniscus surgery (all at the same knee) and I'm overpronation runner. Mainly because of the first issue I'm running only on treadmill and on weekend on running track, so never on really hard surface. Right now HIIT twice a week and on the weekend at the running track, 5k.
The first impression was look related, and they're really beautiful ones in your hands/feet, a second impression was when wearing them during my p90x3 workout, and wow!..you really can feel a stability improvement in compare with neutral shoes (was using nike airmax2012). I know Tony always says do not use running shoes for his programme but he didn't try the Paradox!.
And the third impression (and the most important) was once on the treadmill for 30 minutes (aprox) doing HIIT, my problematic knee was not a problem at all, and because of that I felt confident and I was pushing even more than before during the hight interval when wearing the mizuno wave prophecy first edition. Next weekend if the weather help I will try them on the running track for a 5k, but I believe they will not disappoint me.
I'm really happy with my purchase and I definitely will recommend this pair of shoes for those who have flat feet or similar condition than me even if you pay the real price! :).
I run about 20 miles a week in the off season, more when training for a race. I've run 1 marathon, 7 half marathons, and a couple of 25K trail races, all in the Alchemy. I've had this shoe for about three months and run 3 5K's a week plus 8 miles on Saturdays, both on a treadmill and outdoors (pavement or trail).
The shoe gives good stability and is light. Cushioning is fine. My only issue was the build quality of the first pair (had to return them), there was stitching off inside both the left and right. The second, replacement pair, was fine.
So, if you liked the Alchemy, try these on, you should like them.
At first the shoes felt a little stiff but after wearing them for a 3 mile walk and then running 6 miles in them the next day they were fairly broken in.
Your foot feels firmly secure on the ground when foot striking.. doesn't have to much of that lofty feel that you'd find in other shoes that have the same amount of cushioning, which is perfect.
Also they are incredibly light given the support that the shoe offers. The upper material is well constructed, and as expected the shoes are getting more comfortable as they are being broken in.
