They still offer great mid-level support for slight over-pronation and are fine for shorter runs (3-5 miles), but I wouldn't wear them for longer ones. I bought them at the deep discount price after the 11's came out, and am happy with them for what I paid (~$45). The sizing is the same as in other versions of the WI - I wear a 9.5 in most athletic shoes but a 10 in these. I have also recently purchased the 11's and am happy to say that they feel like coming home - back to the good ol' days of how the 8's felt (which were by far my favorite previous iteration). The 11's are also consistent in sizing so if you want to skip these and go right there you can order the same size that you've had for previous versions.
If you are a runner or plan to start, do yourself a favor and get a great brand like Mizuno. Your knees will thank you!
If you need a so-called "stability" or structure shoe than this is a good fit. My wife says that they provide very good support for long training runs on a variety of surfaces. She's done a half-dozen 5K and 4 mile runs and trains 4-5 times per week and the shoes still have decent tread and support after 6 months.
She's liked these shoes so much that we've purchased several back-up pairs for the future. I'm of the opinion that if you find a good shoe deal that fits you very well, then you should continue to buy that same shoe for as long as you can.
