Top Customer Reviews
Overall Looks: The keyboard is made from an aluminum body with a plastic keyboard interface and keys. The aluminum is very similar to that of the back of an iPad or iPhone and appears very durable and resilient to scratches. The keyboard keys themselves greatly resemble those of a laptop I used to have, so it is not of some weird font and they keys give a nice tactile feel when you hit a key.
Portability and Usability: The keys on this keyboard are full-sized (or pretty darn close). I have had portable keyboards in the past where the keys were sized down so it made it nearly impossible to type legibly. This is not a problem at all with this keyboard which is very surprising as it all folds up into such a nice, little package. All keys are shaped similarly to that of a regular full-sized keyboard, from the F-keys to the shift and tab keys. When folded up, it is smaller than a half sheet of 8.5"x11" paper (regular printer paper) and when opened it is a tad bit longer than a full sheet of 8.5"x11" paper. When folded, the thickness of the keyboard is around that of 2 pencils, and thickness of 1 pencil when opened (paper and pencils given as a reference to size). In the Q&A section of the product page, it was asked if the hinges impede typing, and I have not found that to be a problem at all. It's very cool that the hinges lock when the keyboard is either folded or opened so that it doesn't just flap open and all around when placed in a work bag or just stored. There are also little flip out risers on the ends of the keyboard to prevent flexing past the hinges' "flex-limit" (this is the best way I could explain this) when typing near the furthermost left or right sides of the keyboard. I really enjoy the size and usability of this keyboard as it is easy to just toss in a backpack and go and the battery lasts quite a while as well.
Connectivity: It is very simple to pair this device with any Bluetooth enabled device. As this is a common question, this keyboard will work with any Bluetooth enabled device (e.g. Tablets, phones, computers, etc.). My devices scanned the keyboard very quickly and the whole pairing process took about 5 seconds. When typing regularly (at a reasonable speed), there is no visible lag from typing to the text appearing on the screen. However, when typing very (emphasis on the "very") fast, there is a minuscule amount of lag but then again it is hardly noticeable.
Little Details: With this product, it's all in the details! There are little rubber studs on the corners of the keyboard to prevent rubbing when it is fully folded up. The locking hinges, as noted previously, work very well. The little risers on the left and right edges of the keyboard as well are very intuitive and help increase the longevity of your keyboard's life. There are also plastic sliding covers on the hinges, giving the backing of the keyboard a nice, uniform, and beautiful look. Also the fact that just opening the keyboard turns it on is a nice feature as it is ready to go whenever you are and there is no fumbling around with other buttons when you need to immediately type something. Everything has obviously been thought of when this keyboard was created and I greatly appreciate that.
Customer Service: In all honesty, the first keyboard I received from them had a loose shift key. I reached out to the seller to try and get a replacement and I was thoroughly surprised. My email was responded to within 24 hours and I was easily able to get a replacement. I really want to thank Carrie as she helped me throughout the replacement process with in a timely and cordial manner. It's employees like Carrie that give customers like you and me the peace of mind if our item does not happen to work as expected.
Final Thoughts: This a great keyboard for anyone: it can stand up to the abuse of kids, be tossed in a backpack and rushed off to class for a student on the go, be taken anywhere for someone who travels often, or just anyone looking for a great performing and compact keyboard. I am very glad I have this keyboard and highly recommend getting one if you are thinking about it. Hey, Father's Day is coming up and this would be a great gift!
I have included some pictures of the product with the size comparisons and little details stated in my review for ease of understanding.
[...] It really helps me out. Thanks!
* I would also like to note that I typed this entire review with the folding keyboard as I truly believe this is the best performing Bluetooth keyboard I've ever used! *
In the box comes the keyboard, a micro USB cable and a detailed, in-color user manual.
So the elephant in the room with this keyboard is its foldability. This is indeed a folding keyboard. It folds two-ways and locks magnetically to create a rectangle that reminds me of two old school Nintendo DS’ next to each other in terms of size and shape. For a more modern example, the folded up keyboard is in between a phone and a tablet in terms of size. In terms of thickness, it is approximately twice as thick as my Galaxy S6. It isn’t incredibly comfortable to carry around in your pocket, but it also isn’t terribly uncomfortable. Those wearing tight pants may struggle to fit in in their pocket, but most pants and shorts should sufficiently hold the unit. The general build of the keyboard is very high quality. The keyboard’s exterior is all metal but the unit is still light to hold. The metal surface is not vulnerable to fingerprints and it doesn’t seem like it scratches easily. The folding is made possible by hinges that look similar to those found on many laptop/tablet convertibles. When the keyboard is open, there are four screws that aren’t particularly aesthetically pleasing, but do not affect the user experience negatively. I read in other reviews that users were unable to type on their laps due to the device folding up during usage. I did not have this issue; typing on my lap worked just fine.
Obviously the most important factor with this device is the typing experience. I typed this entire review using this keyboard. I am able to type just as quickly and accurately with this keyboard as I would with any other. The usual word processing shortcuts (Ctrl+B=Bold, Ctrl+V=Paste, etc.) all worked with this keyboard even on Android. The keyboard also features full backlighting. Personally, I was very excited about this because I really enjoy backlit keyboards on laptops. Backlighting is not a feature that you see often on Bluetooth keyboards and if you do, these choices tend to be more pricey. The backlight is bright and comes in three colors: red, blue and green, and two dimness settings. This is the first Bluetooth keyboard I have ever seen that has changeable backlighting colors. Another fairly unique feature of MoKo’s Bluetooth Keyboard is the use of a rechargeable battery. Bluetooth keyboards I have used in the past all used replaceable (AAA,AA, etc.) batteries. This rechargeable battery is 210mAh and performs quite well. On a single charge, this device could last at least a few weeks with regular usage. Standby time is rated at 218 days with the backlight deactivated. Actual usage specifications depend on backlighting settings, connection status, etc. The keyboard will recharge in a few hours using Micro USB (cable included, power brick is not). There is a ‘power’ indication light at the top of the keyboard which indicates charging status. The keyboard has some really cool features that actually take some usage to discover. For example, by pressing Fn+Alt, the ‘power’ indication light will indicate how much battery is left by blinking (25% per blink). There are two other indicators that show caps lock status and the connection state (paired, searching, etc.) I recommend looking at the instruction manual to discover the other cool shortcuts. MoKo’s keyboard also has some noteworthy battery saving features. Folding up the keyboard will automatically turn it off, and unfolding it will turn it back on. When I tried this, the Bluetooth connection was reestablished within seconds. Also, the keyboard will ‘sleep’ after thirty minutes idling and the backlighting will turn off after one minute of idling. This keyboard is not exclusively Bluetooth; it can also be used as a USB keyboard using the included micro USB cable (a third party cable will work as well). The user can switch between Bluetooth mode and USB mode with the touch of a button (consult the instruction manual). I had no Bluetooth connection issues whatsoever; the keyboard paired immediately and maintained an uninterrupted connection.
At the time of this review, this keyboard retails for $45.99 on Amazon (without backlighting is $35.99). There are many Bluetooth keyboards that retail for this price or more and do much less. MoKo’s Bluetooth Keyboard brings a lot to the table. It folds up for maximum portability, has powerful backlighting with three color choices, a rechargeable yet powerful battery and excellent typing comfort and accuracy. Using this device really made me say “wow”. I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone looking for a Bluetooth keyboard. Given the price, the value is unbeatable.

1. I lacks a "lock" feature once unfolded. If you don't put it on a flat surface (like a desk), if you try to keep it on your knees, it will keep folding back. Which makes it at least partially useless as a "portable"" device.
2. Backlit works, but it turns itself off after about 1 min regardless of the fact that you're typing. It just doesn't stay on while keyboard is in use. Manufacturer's statement (in user "manual" - which is a joke, it's just a basic instrctions, that's all you get), the backlit does NOT turn itself off AFTER 1 min ON IDLE.
Regratable lack of extended list of keyboard shortcuts.
Positives: it is really small (great!) when folded. Very easy to carry from one location to another.
Overall, it definitely feels nice and is really thin...very portable.
