My biggest complaint are the dimensions are WAY OFF! I didn't realize until I had it mostly assembled, this desk is TINY!
My standard size computer (18.5 x 17.5 x 8.5) only fit sideways - and no clearance on the bottom panel.
The dimensions according to the website are 23.5 x 31 x 41 - No part of this desk is 41 inches in any direction. The box wasn't even 41 inches in any direction. TOTAL, the desk is 35.5 inches tall (with the optional piece attached), which is it's longest dimension - That's 5.5 inches shorter than anticipated. The next largest dimension is 31 inches - The actual width is only 27.5 inches wide. About 3.5 inches shorter than advertised. Overall very TINY computer desk.
I will list the Actual dimensions of the desk that I received - With some pictures showing the dimensions as well. Hopefully this will save you a return.
- Height -
Total Height with optional rise piece - 35.625 inches tall
Height of the desk without attachment - 31 inches tall
Height of the keyboard tray - 26.75 inches tall
-Panel Dimensions -
Desk piece - 27.5 x 18.75
Top Mounted piece - 9.5 x 15 5/8 (9.75 if you include the slanted lip part)
Bottom panel - 21 5/8 x 13.75
Front to Back without keyboard extended - 21 1/8 Inches - this is the distance out from the wall.
I'm writing from this desk right now. My 27 inch Mac fits nicely on the top. It's sturdy enough to hold it on the stand, leaving me plenty of room for writing and typing. I really like that this desk is on casters and can be moved around so I'm not limited to a specific room. I currently have it in my living room, but should company come over, I'd really like to move this item out of here for a more formal setting.
This item came pretty well packaged and took under an hour to assemble by myself. (I'm a 5'2" female who is mildly handy). The most challenging part of the assembly was really found in the first few steps - connecting the two metal side panels together using a small piece of wood (four screws). It was just awkward without someone to hold it level, so if you have someone to help with that it's easier. If not, get creative. I used pillows from my couch to prop up one end as I bound the two. The rest was very easy.
All of the tools needed to assemble are included in the package (a screwdriver and a small metal wrench). Other reviewers said that some items were missing and that the holes were not in the right spots, but this was not the case for me at all. In fact, there was a bag with extra set of each screw. All of the holes lined up perfectly and most of the coated particle board pieces had metal reinforced, pre-drilled holes which gave me a confidence that I didn't have prior. I only needed a bit of elbow grease and patience when screwing in the casters (for the slide out keyboard stand). This keyboard stand is very nice and pretty darn sturdy. I am comfortable to lean my wrists on it while typing and I do not feel that it has much give when I did.
The graphite color is not solid, it's more of speckled up close but looks like a dark-gray from afar.
The bottom shelf is sturdy and holds my printer/scanner combo very well, providing me enough room to raise the lid to scan.
Overall, I am really pleased with this purchase. The price tag makes it all the better and then add Prime shipping. Wow. Take your time with the directions, use some basic logic, and you'll be fine.
So far, the desk seems fairly sturdy, and looks very sleek, especially if all your other computer accessories are black or dark material.
My only complaint is that the pullout platform only fits a single keyboard, so your mouse has to be accessed on the higher platform. This can feel awkward as you have switch your right hand between the higher platform and lower platform in order to use the mouse and keyboard. Even worse, in order to access the mouse, I have to lean forward on my chair to get to the mouse, and since it's on a high platform, you have to awkwardly raise your arm as well, and the palm of your hand suffers pain from resting on such as high platform. While these issues don't sound like a big deal, they get super annoying very fast.
One solution I found was to order a swivel mouse tray that attaches to desks. There is one that can be ordered on Amazon, Staples, or Walmart. This allows the mouse to be side by side with the keyboard platform and also lowers the mouse so that it is within your reach at an appropriate height.
Great product, just wish they would have accounted for the mouse situation.
The assembly is also a plus because I did it all by myself, and that's a big deal for me!!! It took me an hour, but if I had a second person we would have finished it in 30 minutes or less! Great desk and definitely worth the price!

It’s really a two-person job, with someone to hold things together while someone else puts the screws in. It didn’t take long to assemble, and we’re very pleased with it. The high shelf can be places anywhere, not just at the back as seen in the photo. I've used it for a couple of days and recommend it.
I am very impressed with the quality and sturdiness of unit and it fits a 1 laptop w/monitor set-up pretty nice.
The only things i would like to see them change is to have 4 locking castors, not 2, as the unit still moves more then I would like when i have the front 2 castors locked. The second thing is the wood screws they give you for installing the sliding shelf are a pain to get in all the way, so I personally would have liked it if they changed this to some other type of screw that is easier to install properly.
Other then that i would definitely recommend this item for someone looking for a small, movable 1 laptop w/monitor or desktop setup.
