Product Description

Parental Advisory - Explicit Content Twista & The Speedknot Mobstaz jump out with Mobstability, the first full-length release for this newly teamed hip hop collective. Twista effectively adds fuel to his signature fast-forward sound through the contributions of the fast up-and-coming Speedknot Mobstaz - comprised of Mayz and Liffy Stokes. Features In Your World from the Dr. Dolittle soundtrack album.

Review

Mobstability does deliver a few bangers, but it ultimately lacks direction--sometimes it hits, but mostly it shoots blanks. -- Vibe

[On Mobstability,] Twista once again hooks up with producer Traxster, along with Speedknot Mobstaz Mayz and Liffy Stokes. Drawling from the hip, the trio scattacks Traxster's bassline creeps and bounces.... You won't find anything new in their formula, but if the fast life is your speed, Mobstability delivers 'nuff knots to the head. -- The Source

... This is definitley not the same tired old gangsta routine. I believe that anyone who has an appreciation for music can agree that the production on this album is very tight and well assembled. And even if you may not like Twista and his speed-rapping sidekicks, the Speedknots, you have to admit (while their rhymes aren't the deepest out there) they all have talent and are very clever in their delivery. With all this said...how can you knock this album?? Just so you know...this is not a hip-hop album. This is a rap album. There is a difference, and a huge one. Intelligent hip-hop heads wouldn't even think twice to buy this album. If you consider yourself a hip-hop fan of any kind, you would have been turned away from this album simply due to the graphics on the cover (not to mention Twista's rep for being a known gangsta rapper). And just so everyone out there knows...the answer is yes. Real gangsters DO make music. Many of them rap or "MC" for all you real hip-hop fans. Many of them play sports...box...etc. If you think otherwise, you obviously haven't picked up a newspaper in your lifetime. Basically, music is not about genres. Music is supposed to be about life and your experiences in it. There will always be gangsters in this world, and some of them will want to make music. With this is mind...you should know that gangster music will never die. It is just like anything else. It has its own niche in society. If you are tired of it, them maybe you should join the force and contribute to our society. We need the help. I mean...even the East Coast is starting to be gangster now (Fabolous, Ja Rule, Jay Z even?!?).Read more ›

Twista & the Speedknot Mobstaz has made an really clean alum. Only one or two tracks are not 100% clean. Those tracks are nr. 8 (party hoes), and 13 (dreams)... the soulpart on dreams really suckz, so that and the whole party hoes track brings the album down a bit. But it's still a 5 star album, not a strong 5 though! Some tips on songs: 2 (crook county), 11 (loyalty) are really good ones..................

I own this CD and I would have to say that it is one of the best CD's that I own. Twista really puts it down in this CD. He can flow fast and he raps about how he made his way to the top of the Chi-town game. He is definetly one of the best rappers to hit the hip-hop scene since 2Pac. You should definetly consider buying this CD.

Twista furiously came back on the scene in late 2003 with arguably the best song of that year with Slow Jams with Kayne West and Jamie Foxx giving him HUGE airplay and increased anticipation for his next album Kamikaze.
Now on my review for Adrenaline Rush I asked you if you were ready for what Twista was about to offer the public and its obvious he is the biggest thing in the industry since 50 Cent. People are tantalized by his swift flows and sharp lyrics. The public doesn't seem ready for Twista just yet. That brings me to this album. To get you ready for what Twista is about to do you need Adrenaline Rush and Mobstability.
Mobstability, released soon after Twista's first official debut album in 1998, delivers a package that is still fresh and hypnotic today. Granted this is a 'group' effort Twista is clearly the man in this group stealing every song. The Mobstaz are good themselves but pitted next to Twista they seem small. If this album were released next week it would sell like hot cakes. Every song is ridah, lean to the side and bob ya head to this right here. As you've already heard, Front Porch is just a masterpiece. That beat is just oh so beautiful and Twista sets it off at the end with his verse. Legit Ballers is another song that is straight up RIDIN with it's pimpalicious chorus and off the chain flows. Warm Embrace, with another excellent beat, is another banger with an unbeatable chorus and melody. Dreams is the 'love' song on the album that you play when you got that lovely lady in the ride wit ya. Loyalty, Mob Up and Motive 4 Murder are some of the groups 'harder' songs and they are all definitely tight to the fullest with off kilter flows and amazing beats. Crook County gets at Bone Thugs N Harmony rather gangsta like and Twista straight up KILLS this song.

I dont wanna speak for the whole album, but I can say that there are 2 songs on here which are classics to me, which makes the album worth buying (considering you can get it on amazon for dirt cheap if you want). These 2 songs are Crook County and Front Porch. Its amazing to me that Twista and Bone ever became cool after this song, because twista goes so hard at bone thugs and harmony. But these 2 songs have great beats and twista is on top of his game. Honestly a lot of the other tracks are so-so. If you want better twista, get adreneline rush. But this is worth checking out.

Honestly this is a real good CD but it doesnt beat adrenaline rush. My favorite song on this cd is probably Front Porch. It's a perfect song to kick it wit you're homies and get high on the front porch. Listen to at and LOve It. CHI LOVE TO THE FULLEST. Also listen to smoke wit u and DREAMS wit ur girl.
