The product itself is great and does its job just as expected. My issue is with the packaging and price.
I used it to make mochi, which didn’t come out well, though of course the first attempt is never perfect, so I don’t attribute that to the flour.
My issues with this product are that
1. the boxes weren’t entirely sealed. Prior to opening the boxes, small amounts of flour were already escaping and getting everywhere. I had to transfer the contents to a different container so that flour wouldn’t get everywhere.
2. I went to H-Mart shortly after receiving this product and was surprised to find this exact product for a quarter of the price. I don’t hate my purchase, but I definitely believe these were overpriced.

Bought this sweet rice flour specifically to make butter mochi cake. (Look up recipe on internet if interested.) Worked perfectly.
Nest trick especially if you like the crispy edges on butter mochi cake. Instead of making it in a sheet cake pan, I used a muffin pan and several very small loaf pans. The result is lots of crispy edges with deliciously chewy interior.

Butter mochi for the win (recipe in review)

This is the real deal if you want to make any type of mochi (Japanese sweet and chewy rice cake). My vote is that you try the Hawaii spin on it, butter mochi. Here's a recipe:

BUTTER MOCHI

1 stick or 1/2 C. butter, melted

2 1/2 C. sugar

1 box mochiko

4 eggs

2 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. vanilla

1 can evaporated milk

1 can coconut milk

2 T. melted butter, for top

Preheat oven to 350º. Mix sugar, butter, mochiko, baking powder, vanilla and eggs. Add milk gradually, stirring until smooth. Add coconut milk and mix. Pour in 9x13” pan. Bake at 350º for 1 hour. Check for doneness. Coat with remaining melted butter. Cool in pan before cutting.
