Cons: It broke 16 months after I purchased it. It was only used for 8 of those months. The seller refuses to do anything and keeps directing me to the manufacturer, Moda Flame. Their website, modaflame.com, has been down all year and may never have actually had anything on it, won't return phone calls, and responded once to 8-9 Facebook messages I sent them, only asking which model fireplace I had, and never responded after that.
The heat feature is overrated. I believe it says it's good for a 400-square foot room but I had it in a room about 220 square feet and it wasn't strong enough. I got a $40 space heater use instead after the fireplace broke and that heated the room up better and faster.
The remote never worked for me. Not sure if I needed to do something else to set it up as this wasn't a big deal for me.
The biggest frustration with it is that I framed a wall for it, it broke, and I don't have any alternatives to it as the wall is framed for this size fireplace.
