I use these boots as boots for riding my motorcycle, so they get a lot of wear. The soles are completely intact after all their pavement sliding and rough starts in weird conditions and sliding when I ride on gravel. For the price, these have held up extraordinarily well. Last summer I wrecked my motorcycle while wearing these and they held up perfectly, they just scuffed and wore down a bit where I slid in. They did well and protected my ankles/lower leg well considering the impact ripped my calf muscle from the femur head, jacked my knee, and nearly broke my leg. They even protected my legs completely from road rash (all the damage was above the boot line). :) I am still using them to ride, but I'm finally losing a bit of external integrity on them- a bit of cold air is making it in with this winter weather.
While riding in rain or wet conditions these keep my feet dry unless water gets on the laced area- then obviously the water gets in.
I really like how they look, as well as the zipper pocket to store stuff when I don't have pockets. I've had many compliments on my boots. I recommend buying a pair in every color!
Today, she came to me during school and showed me the sole of her left shoe had come off almost completely. Needless to say, there was nothing I could do for her a that point. She duct taped them together for the remainder of the day. After school, (2hrs later), she showed me where the second shoe had also lost its sole. The glue used to make these is not of very good quality.
We are very disappointed. We have had them less then 2 months. Lesson learned!
You definitely get what you pay for with these boots!
